Trinidad James wants you to know like Kanye West “he runs this fashion sh*t”. Since James hit the scene, people were paying just as much attention to his hair and unique style as the bass line in “All Gold Everything.” Trinidad said he wants to be a voice for those that get taunted for expressing their style and being different.
“I can wear what I want and you can’t do sh*t about it. I run this fashion sh*t. You consumers don’t. And I’m not talking sh*t. I’m just speaking up for the kids who YOU f*ckas treat as weirdos. I wanna make sure they can wear whatever they want and be great. F*ck all you cookie cutter robin jean wearing a*s n*ggas. You are trapped. May the lord free you one day. #DAD”
In the video for loose single “Gas Mask,” Montana Of 300 teams up with his partner Talley Of 300 for an original track, and the duo mob out in a basement with an onslaught of aggressive, boastful bars. Often referred to as “Rap God,” Montana Of 300 got his start back in 2008 when he and his crew named themselves after the movie 300, adopting the movie’s underlying motif “No surrender, no retreat” as his own anthem. His latest project, Cursed With A Blessing, shows his range of lyricism and creativity.

Brooklyn upstart emcee, Saga, is not the type to succumb to his ambition. His ‘do or die’ attitude stems from his Brooklyn upbringing, which is deeply rooted in the understanding that the only people that make it in life are, “The Strong”. While other rappers shy away from achieving lyrical excellence, Saga continues to show and prove that he has a pension for both wordplay and top notch production.
For Saga’s 2nd visual installment taken from his debut effort, From Out of The Shadows, director, Fred Focus creates a beautiful juxtaposition of Saga whipping through Brooklyn in a classic ’67 Shelby Cobra, and rhyming alongside his drummer. The video serves to define Saga’s character; a man who’s driven for life’s finer things, without straying too far from the Brooklyn blocks that raised him. “The Strong” is the 2nd leak featured on From Out of the Shadows, which is produced entirety by Marco Polo, and set to drop in early April!
DMX has yet to speak up about reports that he robbed a man at a New Jersey gas station but his lawyer has come forward denying these claims.
His lawyer, Murray Richman, is saying that these allegations are “completely absurd” and that the man is claiming that he was robbed because DMX refused to buy drugs from him.
“He was leaving a show, a very successful show, and he stopped for gas,” Richman told E! News. “Four young men approached him for a photo. They took photos and they offered [DMX] drugs. He said no and told them to go…They had an argument and next thing you know, they are accusing him of robbery. Just nonsense.”
A 21-year-old man alleges that while conversing with X about music, a member of his entourage pulled a gun on him and demanded money. After pulling about $3,200 out of his pocket, he claims that DMX snatched the money and then he and his entourage hopped into four black Cadillac Escalades and took off. The man says he then followed one of the vehicles and was able to get the license plate number.
Newark Police are currently investigating the incident and have obtained surveillance footage.

Christina Milian stopped by LA’s Real 92.3 station to chat with Big Boy. While on air she “slipped” and confessed her love for Lil’ Wayne. It didn’t seem accidental to us, but who doesn’t love Lil’ Wayne judging by the size of his baby mama club, side pieces, and random girlfriends. Christina seems to have been along for the ride for a little while now, but isn’t their relationship weird as she was once married to and has a child by The-Dream, who was previously married to Wayne’s ex Nivea. It’s too many women out here for Lil’ Wayne to date his son’s mother’s ex-husband’s girl.

Azealia Banks, no stranger to backlash, received a lot of criticism for her Billboard interview. She’s always been outspoken and unapologetic even if she’s wrong or makes contradictory statements. This time she seems to have a little regret, not about what she said but more so about it being taken out of context. She also says she will no longer be doing anymore interviews this year.
“This interview was not my favorite. Lots of things I said got taken out of context. This whole interview was mostly about a few raunchy jokes I made…. when I really spoke about so much more. Maybe it was the journalist, maybe it was the editor. Who knows, don’t care. I’m not doing anymore interviews this year.”

(AllHipHop News) In a recent interview with The Ricky Smiley Morning Show, Kendrick Lamar denied he was taking shots at Kanye West on the track “King Kunta.” The Internet was quick to suspect that K. Dot was calling out Ye for having so many writers on his song “All Day,” but now the speculation on the net is that Kendrick is actually jumping on a remix to the single.
Audio of the TDE emcee rapping over the “All Day” track circulated online before it was pulled down. One listener managed to upload a short 6 second snippet of Kendrick’s verse to YouTube.
There is no confirmation yet when/if the full Kendrick version of “All Day” will be released. The official song features Theophilus London, Allan Kingdom, and Paul McCartney. It set to appear on West’s seventh studio album So Help Me God.

(AllHipHop News) Will Smith has already announced he is working on a new album. The rapper formerly known as The Fresh Prince revealed he connected with Kanye West for the project, but many fans wonder if there is also a full reunion with his longtime collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff in the future.
“We’ve been talking a lot. Our biggest thing has always been time,” Jeff told the Huffington Post. “Whenever he’s ready, I’m ready.”
DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince released several albums including 1988’s He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper and 1991’s Homebase. The latter LP included the smash hit “Summertime.” Jeff and Smith also worked together on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Jazzy Jeff recently participated in the national final of the Red Bull Thre3style DJ competition. He served as a judge along with Z-Trip and Four Color Zack. San Francisco’s J. Espinosa was crowned the USA National Champion.
“I’m privileged to be apart of the Red Bull Thre3style movement,” said DJ Jazzy Jeff. “Each year, the DJs bring their ‘A-game’ to the Finals and it’s exciting to continue to put new talent on the map for the world to see.”
(AllHipHop News) For months, Dame Dash has been calling out executives in the music industry for what he sees as their habitual acts of stealing from Hip Hop culture for personal gain. Each of the individuals that have made Dame’s “culture vulture” list seem to have had a direct financial interaction with the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder, and Dash takes the warfare of the business world personally.
“There’s no such thing as easy business. Business is war. Business is getting into a ring with a person you have no problem with and trying to kill him in that ring,” said Dame. “Then after, whether you win or lose, you give them a pound, you walk off, and have good sportsmanship.”
According to Dash, the competition used to affect him when he was younger, and the Loisaidas filmmaker still has issues with some business practices.
“I don’t like people lying and robbing me. I still take it personal. That’s why I don’t do business with everybody,” Dash continued. “My business acumen is not the same as everyone else’s. I don’t play by that code.”

(AllHipHop News) Iconic performer Michael Jackson is viewed as the “King of Pop” by millions of music fans across the globe. But is Beyoncé on the path of taking over that throne? Charlamagne Tha God thinks that may be the case.
CTG sat down with VladTV. The Breakfast Club and Brilliant Idiots co-host was asked about Kid Rock’s comments that Beyoncé did not have a classic record like “Purple Rain” or “‘Sweet Home Alabama.” Before stating he did not have any problem with Rock giving his opinion, the outspoken radio personality shared his own thoughts on the future legacy of Bey.
Charlamagne responded:
I think she’s dope. I think she’s the greatest entertainer that our generation has seen. The previous generation had Michael Jackson, but for our generation I think it’s Beyonce. You can’t really compare anybody to anybody. Michael Jackson’s a god. He’s legendary. He’s on a totally different level. But Beyonce – if she’s not already – she absolutely will be on that same level. She will be looked upon in the same regard, if not more as Michael Jackson was. That’s the truth to the matter. People hate when I say that, but you’ll see in the future. It’s gonna happen.

(AllHipHop News) Serious Hip Hop heads have probably been familiar with North Carolina emcee Rapsody for years, but the 9th Wonder protegé reached a more widespread audience thanks to an appearance on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly. During an interview with Hot 97, Rapsody talked about collaborating with K. Dot on “Complexion (A Zulu Love).”
“He said,’Everybody’s beautiful – black or white. But I really want to do something for us, for our folks.’ He didn’t have to explain it. I got it off the back,” said Rapsody. “The conversation was real short. He sent the track with my part, and that’s all I heard. I didn’t hear anything else.”
To help further introduce herself to the larger public, Rapsody is re-releasing her 2014 EP Beauty And The Beast. Even with the new-found fame, the Jamla Records signee says fan should not expect her image to change.
“We have enough women who want to display the sexy side, and that’s okay. I’m here to create balance,” stated Rap. “When I grew up, I had MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Missy [Elliott], Lauryn [Hill], and they all had their own flavor and style. I want to be relatable… I’m just here for the everyday girl next door.”
Rapsody went on to name Ill Camille, Noname Gypsy, and Tink among her favorite new female rappers. She added that she is not as fond of the more mainstream acts.
“I listen to some mainstream things. It just doesn’t appeal to me,” she responded. “There’s some Nicki songs that I like. She can spit. That’s undeniable.”
