New music off Statik Selektah’s upcoming album, “What Goes Around”, out August 19th on Showoff Records / Duck Down Music.
Tahiry may have decline Joey’s invitation to jump the broom, but from the looks of things she’s moving on just fine.
If these two were thinking they were inconspicuous think again, BallerAlert spotted Tahiry and Houston Rockets player James Harden snapping it up in China throughout the airport and along the Great Wall of China.
Could this be a new plot in the Love and Hip Hop NY or is Tahiry moving in on Basketball Wives territory? I really like Joe and Tahiry together, but as the old saying goes, when a woman’s fed up, well you know the rest…
“Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone…”
Last week RihRih’s bestie and partner in crime Melissa Forde posted a pic of former lovebirds Chris Brown and Rihanna, which of course sparked up the rumors that the beatdown was in the past and the couple were looking to hook back up.
Well from the looks of things Breezy wanted to add more fuel to the fire by liking a fan made photoshopped pic of he and Rihanna lying in bed together.
Should we be expecting these two to get back together or was Chris just showing a little love?
(AllHipHop News) One in four women will experience domestic violence in their life for a variety of reasons. During a recent interview, Melyssa Ford explains an incident where she used physical force to instigate an assault from a man.
Last Friday (July 24th), ESPN personality Stephen A Smith incited a bit of controversy when commenting on the 2-game suspension the NFL handed down to Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice following Rice’s admission of having a physical altercation with his wife and subsequent video of him dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator. Smith intimated that women involved in domestic abuse should learn ways to avoid provoking the attacker.
In a recent interview with Charlamagne The God and Andrew Shultz’s The Brilliant Idiots podcast, Ford explains of a time when she was guilty of provoking a physical assault from a man:
While I was shaking my hand in his face, I smashed him in the face with the CD walkman. He didn’t even blink and punched me right in my face. Lip exploded. It was like *gasp*. Then I wilded out some more and he was like, ‘Oh my God! I gotta get her out of here,’ because we’re in the car in the street.
Stephen A Smith issued an apology on yesterday’s (July 28th) episode of ESPN’s First Take.
Check out Ford’s full explanation of the incident and her thoughts on domestic violence below:
(AllHipHop News) NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and millions of others can breathe a sigh of relief. Yesterday (July 28th), Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas approved of that the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion.
The judge decided that Shelly Sterling acted in the interest of the Sterling Family Trust, which owned the team, after two doctors determined Donald Sterling to be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Shelly was also awarded the invocation of Section 1310(b) of the California Probate Code which stipulates that even if Donald Sterling appeals, it can not stop the sale of the team.
Donald Sterling was not in attendance when the judge gave his verdict but his attorney Bobby Samini stated “he didn’t take it too hard” and “he just said, ‘Keep fighting.'” Shelly Sterling on the other hand was so excited she began promoting the Clippers immediately outside the courtroom after the verdict:
This is going to be a good thing for the city, for the league for my family and for all of us. Come see the Clippers next year.
The judge’s final decision will be reached on August 13th and the attorneys for Shelly and Ballmer state the sale of the Clippers should be finalized on August 15th.
(AllHipHop News) No favoritism with Ice Cube, simply acting business. Less than a month after Eazy E’s son, Eric Wright Jr was allegedly outraged on not being cast to portray his father in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, Ice Cube explains that Wright Jr’s lack of experience was to blame.
Cube spoke to Colorado radio station KS 107.5 about the casting of Straight Outta Compton and the involvement of Eazy E’s family. Jason Mitchell was cast to portray Eazy E and Cube explains the Wright Jr was not selected due to how much the role demanded:
He’s an up-and-coming actor trying to do it, but we needed somebody who was a little more polished to play Eazy, because he goes through a lot in his life. He goes from selling dope in Compton to fighting for his life in a hospital bed. So we needed to find an actor with a lot of range. And we just couldn’t use just anybody. We gave him a shot, and it just didn’t work out.
Wright Jr dismissed rumors of his displeasure with not being cast in the movie and informed Rolling Stone that he is willing to give Mitchell advice on how to portray his father. Interestingly enough, Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr has no prior acting experience in films and will portray his father in the N.W.A. biopic.
Straight Outta Compton is schedule to beginning filming next month and set to be released August 2015.

Nelly said:
I don’t have a beef with Floyd Mayweather. For me, for the most part. I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he’s coming from, which is a little hard to do. But it’s just one of those things. He is who he is. He’s one of those people that I don’t think likes the word no said to him. I think if anybody does that, that’s what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But I don’t know. It’s kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn’t graduated from high school.
Mayweather and Nelly have been involved in a very public feud in recent months. The issues apparently revolve around Nelly dating Floyd’s ex-fiance Shantel Jackson.

(AllHipHop News) The first step in Kanye West’s legal battle against the bitcoin cyrptocurrency using his likeness is over. According to Billboard, the Hip Hop superstar has successfully forced some of the creators of “Coinye” to halt their plans of dispersing the digital money.

West sent a cease-and-desist letter to seven anonymous coders and filed a trademark-infringement lawsuit in January. The currency was temporarily shut down. When the Coinye creators simply changed their logo, the Chicago native updated his suit to include over 100 defendants. Most of the people in the lawsuit were listed as “John/Jane Does.”
This week a few of the named defendants lost the case by default, because they failed to respond. Named defendants Richard McCord, David McEnery and Harry Willis settled with the Yeezus rapper.
While this is a victory for West, Hypebot reports the win in U.S. District Court may not have permanently killed the Coinye phenomenon. Other brands sporting the Kanye-inspired name are still active including coinyecoin.org and coinyethecoin.com. The latter site features the tagline, “When they tell you to cease and desist, increase and resist!”

Before stating that his album “was getting released even without a release date” in his interview with Power 99’s Mina SayWhat, Jeezy explains why he publicly voiced his displeasure with Def Jam:
At the time, I felt like they weren’t seeing my vision. It’s jus tlike a girl. Def Jam is a great building, a lot of things changed, but I became frustrated with the situation. But, I’m a businessman so I had to put that out there. But, it’s like my girl, ‘you keep playing I’m going to get me another chick.
Jeezy’s cover art for Seen It All contains a shield surrounding the eye in the pyramid that is commonly seen on the back of the dollar bill. Jeezy immediately dismisses Illuminati references:
Do not get art and creativity confused with ignorance. I am a hard working, God fearing man. I have no idea what an Illuminati is. Really [I] dont give a damn because it has nothing to do with me.

Yeah, this is my Purple Rain solo album that I’m going to put out. I have no features on it. It’s called Opera Noir and it’s the most innovative work I’ve ever done. It’s all about truth and what’s going on around us. It’s about my personal truth: It’s one of the things that MediaTakeOut will care about, but I’m telling you what happened. I’m telling you: At this point, this happened. I’m telling you at this date, I’m telling you that I did this. I’m telling you that she did this or he did that.
