(AllHipHop News) The artist, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was tried and convicted as one of the killers of one Clive “Lizard” Williams.
Kartel maintained his innocence, but was not able to convince a jury. The jury came back with a guilty verdict after a mere two hours even though the trial took a whopping 65 days.
Kartel’s lawyer said they would vigorously appeal the decision and suggested the police were biased.
“We will not sit by and let this case of injustice score victory. We will be appealing the verdict given the many questionable police corruption in the case,” the lawyer said according to UrbanIslands.com.
Kartel was acquitted of the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton last year.
The body of Clive Williams was never found, but authorities maintain it happened in a house owned by Kartel.
Three other men, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, and André St John, were also found guilty in the murder.
Last night, Juicy J’s ‘Never Sober’ tour, was welcomed to New York City’s, Irving Plaza. New-Harlem native, Vinny Cha$e, was an “impromptu” replacement for Travis Scott. Challenged with igniting the gathering crowd’s interest, Cha$e, performed sans his signature Chanel ski-mask. From indifferent side-eyeing to a lackadaisical response from Vinny’s insistence to, ‘Ball, Ball,” the hometown eyes politely tolerated the emerging rapper.
Once Project Pat took the stage, his blood red t-shirt displaying ‘Risk It All’ in mortician-black lettering demanded attention. ‘Do New York Women twerk they a**,’ and ‘Is this the city where dreams are made of,’ were questions that elicited an immediate response. “If You Ain’t From My Hood,” commenced the set. With a track like, “Weed Smoke,” the THC-thickened atmosphere grew in intensity. Recent discography additions like, “Never Be A G,” produced by Mike Will Made It solidifies Pat’s current credibility. Both “Gas,” and “Anti-Social” performed with NastyMane and Young Dolph demonstrated his enduring skill.
Fans favorites like “Twerk That A**” absolutely encouraged the ‘ratchets. What kind of debauchery would it be, if the show continued, without any cultured young ladies displaying inebriated dancing skills? Do not fret; it definitely went down! Two lovely females, one dressed in virgin-white, the other in a conservative church-skirt delighted the crowd with their twerktastic skill-set. Project Pat’s “Chickenhead,” the ‘Ratchet national anthem, ushered the crowd to a heightened level.
Finally, when Juicy J, took the stage the sold-out crowd was ready! A simple, “Turn Up, New York,” elicited a thunderous response. Climbing atop speakers, the 20 year veteran demanded, “Don’t pass me no regular I’m’a turn it down,” from the street classic “All I Blow Is Loud.” Matter-of-fact statements detailing having sex all day, and requiring three hands to count all his money, Juicy J performed the Billboard number one hit, “Dark Horse.” No, Katy Perry, was not in attendance, but Juicy did dedicate the performance to the ladies. “Bandz A Make Her Dance,” and “Scholarship” demonstrated his ingrained appreciation from women.
Concert Recap:
“I worked hard for this sh*t; I’m the G.O.A.T.,” was Juicy J’s self-professed segue to recalling his litany of professional accomplishments. Later the Academy-Award winning producer, time-travelled back to his humble beginnings, performing the classic Three 6 Mafia hit and personal favorite, “Sippin’ On Some Syrup,” and the resounding ‘hood favorite “Slob On My Knob.”
“We Still In This B*tch,” “Show Out,” and “23”were among the host of tracks that were performed. With a 20 year investment into his craft, Juicy is honored and humbled that his legacy continues. The grateful rapper/ producer donated two signed pairs of Jordan brand sneakers, and the pair of Red Octobers designed by Kanye West (Yes, he actually removed these from his feet and gave them away)! Sadly, no scholarships were given away, but several supporters were invited on stage to capture priceless memories, in the form of selfies.
If sobriety is frowned-up then definitely bask in the Never Sober tour!
(AllHipHop News) Over the course of 52 months of incarceration, Lil Boosie claims to have written 1,018 songs and received hundreds of fan mail. In the last part of AllHipHop’s EXCLUSIVE interview with Lil Boosie, he names five of those songs for the first time and retells the saddest fan letter he received while in jail.
According to Boosie, writing music was therapeutic to him during his 4+ year prison term and names five of the songs he wrote while incarcerated. The titles (“Pain”, “The Windows Of My Eyes”,”It Don’t Hurt No More”, “I Don’t Want To Die In Jail” and “Tears”) allude to somber topics, but Boosie was jocular when describing his desired effect he wanted the songs to have on the listening public:
I got a lot of songs that’s going to make people be like, ‘man, they messed over that dude. Man, that man was going through it. I should have sung him something. [Laughs]
During the press conference celebrating his release, Boosie said that a woman exclaimed “oh my god, it’s Jesus” when she first saw him following his prison release last Wednesday (March 7th). According to Boosie, his fans not only saw him as their savior but also as someone they could confide in while he was incarcerated. He retold the story of a Florida mother who sent him a letter while he was imprisoned about her not seeing her daughter in over a decade.
Check out Boosie name and explain five of his 1,018 songs written in prison and fully describe the heart wrench fan letter he received in prison below:

I don’t actually think this is a reunion, truly, but I think its a good first step. There have been rumors that Paula is open to taking Robin back. There have also been rumors that Paula definitely likes the fact that Robby Rob is a good dad. Well, they got back together recently and it has been made into a big deal. I suspect this is really something for their kid, but they are seen smiling in pictures. Peep:
Anyway, they linked up in Vancouver..we’ll see.

Drake infamously said, “You wasn’t with me shooting in the gym!”
But, guess what? Things done changed, my brothers and sisters! It looks like Drake and Rihanna are so into each other, he took her with him to play some ball on the low low. Clearly, I wasn’t there, but this what is on a site devoted to Rihanna and Drake. THAT’S RIGHT, FOLKS! There is a whole site dedicated to RiDrizzy (I know there is a joint name coming somewhere).
Apparently, they got it in at Sudgen Sports Center in Manchester, UK. Here are the pictures:

I just got this from the top and wanted to properly spread the word.
The Doe B album is coming and its coming soon. There will definitely be more on it, but if you missed the update yesterday, DJ Frank White reached out to AllHipHop and let us know that there definitely will be a Doe B album. He also revealed it would be sooner than possible.
So, the person that gave me that tip was off, apparently. I’m not even mad at them since we got all this good news as a result.
RIP DOE!

(AllHipHop News) Another rapper is back home. North Carolina’s Petey Pablo was released from federal prison this morning. The creator of the hit singles “Raise Up” and “Freek-a-Leek” left the Fort Dix, New Jersey correctional institution after serving two years for carrying a firearm into the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in 2010.
“I just want to say that I’m totally glad to be back in the race and behind the wheel of a car that has been fine tuned for the greatest performance,” states Pablo. “I’m now headed to the workshop to begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time. My brother, my friend, my partner for life mega producer Timbaland, the king. See ya in a few, shirt still spinning!”
(AllHipHop News) The topic of race in Hip Hop has been an ongoing discussion since the start of the culture. In recent months, the success of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis has brought the issue back to the forefront, and one of the main individuals that has consistently criticized white rappers in Hip Hop is Lord Jamar.
Jamar sparked controversy last year when he made the statement that whites were “guests” in Hip Hop. The statement started a heated back-and-forth between the Brand Nubian rapper and Yelawolf. Another emcee has now provided his take on the matter.
In an interview with VladTV, Duck Down’s Buckshot challenges Jamar’s notion that Hip Hop was originally a black art form. As Vlad was asking the question, Buck interrupted to dispute the idea.
“How? How when we had Ad-Rock, a part of the Beastie Boys, in the movie Krush Groove, a part of the beginning of Hip Hop, who introduced LL Cool J to Russell Simmons?” asks Buckshot. “How was it originally a Black thing? Stop it.”
Buckshot then turns his attention to address Black people in general and states how all people, no matter their race, are simply human beings.
“I love you black people. I love you, but let me tell you something. My name is Hanif Alwin al-Sadiq. That’s my Muslim name. Yes, I speak Arabic,” adds Buck. “If you wanna challenge me, I’m the worst motherf**ker in your life, period. Ever.”
“The day you could bust a n***a chest open and pull out his heart, and I could see a black heart and a white heart, and know how those s**ts operate, you good. Cause until then all I see is two f**king organs that pump blood,” continues the Boot Camp Clik member. “You could sit there and tell me, ‘Yeah, but the white man was the one who did this, and the white man did that.’ The white man is gonna say, ‘The black man did this and the black man did that.’ You know what I’m saying? We can keep going on and on and on.”

(AllHipHop News) When Tony Yayo used his Instagram profile recently to let the world know that he was done with music and insinuated that 50 Cent was no longer loyal to him, it became clear that the original G-Unit was officially over.
50 has now addressed Yayo’s statements in an interview with Billboard at SXSW. In the article, the Queens rapper states that the situation “doesn’t affect” his life, and he reveals that he has not spoken to any former or current members of G-Unit.
50 Cent on Tony Yayo’s comments:
I had a wonderful journey with the people I grew up with. I think the frustration comes from shock, probably, that it’s not everything they wanted it to be.
It’s not a secret, it’s a known fact that he actually came home from jail with a million dollars and a Bentley. Like, ‘What do you want?
These guys are millionaires. They’ve made millions of dollars. Why do that then? Whenever there’s no one to blame, you know what game you play, [for] a look. I don’t know what the goal was.
I don’t believe in looking back. I can care less about things that’s happened in the past. I’m looking forward, at prosperity.
I’ve learned: The same person that tells you you’re a piece of s**t tells you they love you when the right song comes out. ‘My man, 50 back.’ So you can’t be affected by ‘I hate you’ because it won’t allow for something good to come in.
(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne has been talking about stepping away from the game for a while. The Young Money leader has insisted his next solo album, Tha Carter V, will be his last LP.
Wayne reiterated his retirement plans once again during an interview with MTV News. The New Orleans native added that the only way he would be willingly to record another solo album after C5 is if he is paid on the level of Kobe Bryant’s salary.
“25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this,” said Wayne. “I didn’t smile when I said it.”
The “A Milli” rapper is willingly to contribute to future collaborative projects like Young Money’s Rise of An Empire released this week, but he made it clear the next installment in Tha Carter series will absolutely be the last.
“I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five,” added Wayne. “The reason being is because the way I’m working on this album, to me, it seems like it will be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else.”
(AllHipHop News) Last night TDE hit up SXSW in Austin, Texas for the iTunes Festival. Black Hippy emcees Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q performed tracks from their respective catalogs. Labelmates Jay Rock and SZA joined K. Dot for “Money Trees” and “B**ch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
