Frank Ocean Tells Chipotle To “F*ck Off”

(AllHipHop News) Odd Future member Frank Ocean was recently named in a lawsuit by Chipotle. The restaurant chain sued the singer for $212,500. The money was for an advance on a $425,000 deal Ocean received to sing in one of the company’s ads.

Ocean backed out of the agreement citing he was to have final approval of the master recording and all advertising. The “Thinkin About You” crooner apparently did not approve of Chipotle’s decision to place its logo at the end of the commercial.

According to Ocean, he returned the $212,500. He took to his Tumblr page to share a copy of the cashier’s check he sent to Chipotle. The check’s memo line reads, “F**K OFF.”

Rick Ross’ “Mastermind” Is The # 1 Album In The Country

(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross’ Mastermind is officiallly the number one album in the country. Ross’ new album has sold 184,726 copies in its first week.

With Mastermind‘s accomplishment, it makes Ross the holder of  the most solo rap albums to reach #1 since his debut in August of 2006. While this is his fifth #1 album, it is his second lowest first week sales, barely edging out 2010’s Teflon Don (his only album to not reach #1).

Last week’s #1 album, Schoolboy Q’s Oxymoron is expected to fall completely out of the Top 5in its second week, so far with sales of 30,237 copies. This is so far a second week decline of over 78% from last week’s 138,517 copies.

Pharrell’s  G I R L is expected to come in at second with 110,090 copies.

Diddy Reportedly Bid $200 Million To Purchase Fuse TV Channel

(AllHipHop News) It looks like when Sean “Diddy” Combs said “I told you that we won’t stop” he was dead serious. Bloomberg reports the Hip Hop mogul is looking to expand his media empire to include the music cable channel Fuse.

According to sources, Diddy put in a bid of $200 million to purchase Fuse and convert it to Revolt TV. He is said to be among several bidders for the network.

Revolt is currently available to 22.8 million households through Comcast and Time Warner. Fuse, currently owned by the Madison Square Garden Company, reaches 74 million households.

The Dolan Family, who started MSG Co. and run the corporation, are supposedly seeking about $400 million for Fuse.

“We are exploring strategic alternatives for Fuse, and will have no further comment during what is still an ongoing process,” MSG spokeswoman Kimberly Kerns told Bloomberg.

If Diddy is able to pull off the purchase, the bolstered Revolt TV will join his other business ventures including Bad Boy Entertainment and Cîroc vodka.

Lil Boosie Talks Writing Over 1000 Songs In Prison & Discovering New Technology After Release

(AllHipHop News) Lil Boosie celebrated his new-found freedom with a press conference today. After supporters like Bun B, Young Jeezy, Webbie, his mother, and his lawyers shared their thoughts about the Louisiana rapper’s release from prison, Boosie himself sat down with The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee to talk about numerous topics.

Of course the subject of music came up, Boosie told the audience that he wrote 1,018 songs while he was locked up, and he has been in the studio every night in preparation for a new album. He also revealed he is reconstructing his contract with Trill Entertainment and is looking forward to his relationship with Atlantic Records.

“My music always been based off telling stories and now I really got a lot of stories to tell about my life, what my family went through, what my people went through,” said Boosie. “I’m more versatile. I’m a better artist and I’m a better person, because I’m wiser and stronger, and I know who’s here for me and who ain’t. When you go to jail you know who real and who ain’t.”

Boosie also addressed how the world has changed since he went into prison. Instagram and Apple’s FaceTime did not exist at the time. The 31-year-old was amazed to discover the ability to video chat via phone.

“I had never seen Instagram. I heard about it,” states Boosie. “I was surprised when I looked on my iPhone and you could look at people and talk on the phone. I wasn’t used to that. I was like, ‘the world done change.'”

Jay Z & Kanye West To Perform During Samsung’s SXSW Concert Series

(AllHipHop News) The Throne will reunite for this year’s SXSW. Jay Z and Kanye West will perform at Samsung’s exclusive concert series in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 12th.

While the location of the show is being kept secret, Galaxy device owners who have downloaded Milk Music can pick up wristbands for the concert at the Galaxy Experience location at 2nd Street and Trinity Street starting tomorrow.

I am hearing that there is some new talk of Jeezy and Boosie working on an album! Some people are saying mixtape, but I am hearing ALBUM!

Yooooooo! How dope would that be? I really don’t know since I have not listened to Jeezy in a minute and never really listened to Boosie! But, that boy Boosie has all the people talking and that means he is going to really be blowing up again.

Jay Z Talks Phone Sex on Daft Punk Collaboration “Computerized” (P###. Kanye West)

(AllHipHop News) Beyonce is Drunk In Love and her husband seems to be used to the drunk texts. Today (March 10th), an unreleased collaboration between Jay Z and electro funk band Daft Punk surfaces called “Computerized”.

The song is allegedly produced by Kanye West and is speculated to have been meant for Daft Punk’s 2013 album Random Access Memories. In the song, Jay Z gets pretty candid about how technology h as changed his approach to intimacy:

Future Announces Kanye West, Drake + More Will Appear on “Honest”

(AllHipHop News) Future is almost ready to set free some honesty with his new album and today (March 10th) he revealed the tracklist to his new album Honest.

The standard and deluxe version of Honest will include collaborations with Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Andre 3000 and a host of others. Future will also collaborate with Drake on “Never Satisfied” after touring together on Drake’s Would You Like A Tour? last year.

Honest is set to be released on April 22nd.

C-Murder Says He Doesn’t Love Master P On “Came 2 Da Can” W/ Lil Boosie

The family feud continues. Today (March 10th), a collaboration between former cellmates Lil Boosie and C-Murder is released, entitled “Came 2 Da Can” with both rappers holding nothing back.

On the song produced by Craig B, both MC’s calls out the liars and backstabbers they’ve seen since they “Came 2 Da Can”. Murder particularly makes a shocking declaration in his ongoing feud with his brother Master P:

I used to love my own brother, but I don’t love him no mo’/Don’t want to hug him no mo’/Cause there’s a limit fo sho/That’s why I tongue kiss that Tek 9 and f*ck that fo fo.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Robin Thicke May Get Paula Patton Back!

I honestly had heard that they may be working something out, but I really didn’t care. But, this is just what is happening. TMZ reported that his begging has not moved her to take him back, which I find interesting. I actually have an opinion on that and I’m thinking begging works wonders. Well, I can’t lie – I kinda hated on their relationship like the truly unhappy individual that I am. Thicke wasn’t good enough for Paula and Paula was a lil’ too ditzy for him hahaha! I’m just playing. Hopefully they work out.

And after seeing this picture, I had to shame myself for hating.

LeBron James Helped Childhood Friend Land Spot On NBA 2K14 Soundtrack

(AllHipHop News) NBA superstar LeBron James is putting his people on. TMZ reports the reigning league MVP helped his childhood friend, Sian Cotton, get featuring on the soundtrack for the NBA 2K14 video game.

Cotton is an aspiring rapper who had been trying to get his music on 2K14 on his own, but when he found out LeBron would be featured on the cover he thought about reaching out to his friend about the soundtrack.

Cotton says before he could contact LBJ, he got a text from LeBron that read, “‘I wanna get you on the game.” NBA_2K14_cover Eventually, Cotton’s “Almost Home” was selected as one of the tracks for the NBA 2K14 soundtrack. The soundtrack also features songs from Jay Z (“The Ruler’s Back”), Drake (“Started from the Bottom”), and Eminem (“Not Afraid”).

50 Cent Cites Nas & Rakim As Inspirations For “Animal Ambition” Album

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent is drawing on two of the greatest lyricists in Hip Hop history as inspirations for his upcoming independent release Animal Ambition. The New York rhymer tells Vibe, that Rakim and Nas’ originality when it comes to lyricism serve as blueprints for his next work.

“When I fell in love with Hip Hop it was more important that you had your own style than you being able to master a version of Rakim or a version of another artist’s style,” said 50. “Nobody does that better than [Rakim]. Even with new content that flow is still his flow.”

50 has publicly expressed he is a fan of Rakim for years. His verse on The Game’s “Hate It or Love It” included the line “My favorite rapper used to sing, ‘Check check out My Melody'” referring to Eric B. and Rakim’s “My Melody.”

While 50 and Nas have had their issues in the past, the G-Unit leader also names the fellow Queens emcee as an example of a rapper with his own style.

“Nas is [also] one of those guys…he has his own,” adds 50. “Even if some people make comparisons that was just Queensbridge, man. That period for me…Mobb Deep, Prodigy is in his own class in my mind.”

Animal Ambition will be 50 Cent’s first release since leaving Interscope Records and signing with Caroline Records.

Big K.R.I.T. Releases Trailer For Upcoming “CADILLACTICA” Album

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/producer Big K.R.I.T. ended his “Week of K.R.I.T.” by releasing the trailer for his sophomore album CADILLACTICA. In the video, the Def Jam artist reveals he will be dropping the follow-up to his debut Live from the Underground later this fall.

Daylyt & 40 B.A.R.R.S Speak On Daylyt Pulling Out His Privates During Rap Battle

(AllHipHop News) Battle rapper Daylyt has been known to pull some wild stunts during his lyrical bouts. He famously stripped down to a thong while battling Dialect last year, and now the California native took it a step further at his recent Queen of the Ring “Caskets or Classics” battle against female emcee 40 B.A.R.R.S.

According to VladTV, at one point Daylyt warned the male fans in the audience to leave the venue. He then asked the crowd if they wanted to see his private parts, and if ten people raised their hands he would pull it out. Daylyt apparently got the answer he wanted and proceeded to pull out his penis.

“[40 B.A.R.R.S.] had the nerve to give me a sexy ass hug. She gave me a hug. I swear for God, I got rock hard. So first she said it’s okay to get naked, and you just got me hard, I am whipping out,” Daylyt told Angry Fans radio show.

“It was wack,” said B.A.A.R.S about Daylyt’s antic. “He gave away the third round. The first and second, from what I gathered, he lost both of those rounds too. They might debate that, but he clearly gave away the third round.”

Nudity has been a running gimmick for Daylyt for a while. Besides baring it all during rap battles, he also released the song/video “Ass Naked With A Shot Gun.”
