A Kentucky man who was serving six years in prison for burglary and five for criminal possession of a forged instrument turned himself back into jail after escaping, because he said it was too cold outside.
According to AP, the inmate escaped from a minimum security facility in Lexington on Sunday. As temperatures dropped into the low single digits Monday, he walked into a motel and told the clerk to call the police.
The 42-year-old man revealed that he wanted to go back to jail to escape the frigid weather. He was found wearing the standard prison uniform of khaki pants, a shirt, and he was also wearing a jacket.
There are no further reports on what penalty he’ll face for breaking out.
(AllHipHop News) Def Jam Records is having a pretty busy start of the year. A day after Young Jeezy was arrested for allegedly imprisoning, assaulting and threatening his son, The-Dream announced today on his Instagram account that he is leaving Def Jam Records.
In a move he is deeming his “exodus”, The Dream took to his personal Instagram account to announce his departure from Def Jam Records:
The-Dream has been signed on Def Jam Records since 2007 and reflected on the five projects he’s released while signed by posting pictures and commentary of them on his Instagram account. Interestingly, he calls his 2010 album LoveKing “unappreciated and unfinished”. LoveKing posted The-Dream’s second lowest 1st week total of 58,000 copies sold, which was only surpassed by his final album on Def Jam, IV Play which sold 28,000 copies in its opening week.
Orgasms for some women are hard to achieve, and for other they are magical. However, one Seattle woman who hit the big O didn’t come down from her high and had to be sent to the ER.
What happened was…
The woman and her boyfriend had sex and when she didn’t come down from her climax. They got really concerned after about two hours and the woman even tried hopping up and down to see if it would help but it didn’t.
You’ll have to watch Sex Sent me to the ER on Saturday at 10/9c to find out how doctors finally got her to release.
(AllHipHop News) As evidenced by his last second three pointer during the 2013 NBA Finals, Ray Allen still has game. According to the two-time NBA champion and three point shooting legend, him and director Spike Lee are in talks to make a sequel to He Got Game.
While Allen is admittedly skeptical of movie sequels as a whole, he informed ESPN if the right script and story could make all his skepticism fade away:
But it’s something we’ve been talking about for the last couple months. If we get a really good story line and are able to bring everybody back, then it would be something worth doing.
In the classic 1998 film, Allen plays top ranked NBA prospect Jesus Shuttlesworth with Denzel Washington playing his father, Jake Shuttlesworth. Last December, Lee posted a picture of Ray Allen’s Miami Heat specialty jersey with his Jesus Shuttlesworth name on the back. Allen will wear the custom jersey for the first time this Friday (January 10th) against the Brooklyn Nets.
Take a quick look back to the past with the original trailer for He Got Game from 1998:
People just won’t let Kim Kardashian and her recent slew of attention seeking booty selfies live. Her post baby body looks great but photoshop aficionados are saying that Kimmie Cakes may have photoshopped her body. Suspicions were sparked by the latest photos Kim K released following a workout session with her friend Blac Chyna
Radar Online caught up with photoshop master and Instagram celebrity Peejet, who got popular for his funny Photoshop art, and he told Radar that the curved doorframe in Kim’s pics is a dead giveaway.
“Now, before I begin, I must say this is all purely speculative, [since] I actually heard Kanye [West] might have brought curved doors to Ikea over six years ago,” he told the site. “In the first pic, which I’ll call the Booty Pic, I have diagrammed with a red line how the door should look if it was a normal, straight-edged door. You can definitely see a gap at the same level as Kim’s chest. This would be caused by using a tool to expand her breasts.”
“There also seems to be a more subtle distortion on the floor,” Peeje continues. “The underlying red line shows how the tiles should be where the blue line follow the actual markings on the floor. You might notice how it follows the same contortion as Kim’s waist and hips.”
“In the second pic, which I’ll call the Stomach Pic, you will notice the door curves out at Kim’s midsection,” Peeje explains, which would occur if she pulled in her waistline.
It’s not such a far-fetched idea considering how starved Kim is for attention and because she admitted how hurt she was when people ridiculed her for gaining weight during pregnancy (which is stupid on the critics’ part).
This is all speculation but it’s sad if she did actually photoshop her pics. Low self-esteem can be a beast.
In related news, Peejet’s Instagram pics are hilarious. I highly recommend you check them out.

(AllHipHop News) Some fans of the late R&B singer Aaliyah may be sadden by the latest news concerning another reported project from the “One In A Million” perfomer. Others may be rejoicing. Either case, it appears the long talked about Aaliyah/Drake collaborative album produced by Noah “40” Shebib has been canned.
40 tells Vibe magazine he decided to pull out of the project after the negative feedback from die-hard Aaliyah followers. Many fans of “Baby Girl” were not supportive of the 2012 Drake-featured track “Enough Said” nor the fact that Timbaland, the man who produced many of Aaliyah’s hits, was not involved in the album. 40 reveals that it was also Aaliyah’s mother’s request that the project not go forward that sealed the deal on the cancellation.
[ALSO READ: Drake Posts Snippet Of Unreleased Song Featuring Aaliyah]
40 to Vibe:
The world reacting to Drake’s involvement so negatively, I just wanted nothing to do with it. That was a very sad experience for me. I was naïve to the politics surrounding Aaliyah’s legacy and a bit ignorant to Timbaland’s relationship and everybody else involved and how they’d feel. Tim said to me “Don’t stop, make the album.” I think that was Tim taking the position of, “I’m not going to stop you. If you’re not going to do it, that’s your decision.” But ultimately, I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t like the stigma. We released [“Enough Said”], but I was seven songs deep. [Aaliyah’s] mother saying “I don’t want this out” was enough for me. I walked away very quickly.
40 says he was originally brought into the process by Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson and her cousin Jomo Hankerson. The father-son duo own Blackground Records; the label that released Aaliyah’s music. Drake later asked 40 if he could participate in the album.

(AllHipHop News) An artists probably cannot get a better endorsement for winning an award than having one of his fellow nominees announce that their work was the best. That appears to be the case with Kendrick Lamar’s nomination for the “Rap Album of the Year” Grammy.
Kendrick’s 2012 critically acclaimed major label debut album good kid, m.A.A.d. city is up against projects from Jay Z, Drake, Kanye West, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and according to Macklemore, K. Dot should take home the trophy.
[ALSO READ: Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Beyoncé Named Among Most Charitable Celebrities Of 2013]
“In terms of [that category], I think it should go to Kendrick,” Macklemore shared with The Source. “I’m not trying to compare albums; I think you can make an argument for both. With that being said, I am a huge supporter of what Kendrick does. And because of that, I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album.”
Macklemore made the cover of The Source’s current issue. The publication named the Seattle-based rapper as its “Man of the Year.” While he has earned that title from the long running Hip Hop magazine, Macklemore expresses his belief that rap fans may not be too accepting of his The Heist taking the rap album Grammy over Kendrick’s GKMC.
“We’re up against Kendrick, who made a phenomenal album. If we win a Grammy for Best Rap Album, Hip Hop is going to be heated,” states Macklemore.
Besides facing off in the best rap album category, Mack and K. Dot will also compete for the coveted “Best New Artist” and “Album of the Year” awards as well.
The Source‘s January 2014 issue featuring the cover story with Macklemore is available now.

(AllHipHop News) Who didn’t see this coming? Knowing how protective and controlling Kanye West is with his personal brand it comes as no surprise that the G.O.O.D. Music founder sent a cease-and-desist letter to the makers of the virtual currency Coinye West.
[ALSO READ: Kanye West Adds 2014 Dates To “Yeezus Tour”]
According to the Wall Street Journal, lawyers for West sent the papers to seven anonymous coders responsible for the online money featuring the likeness of Ye. The people behind Coinye so far have refused to back down and are moving forward with their monetary plan. They have even transferred their website to a domain registered in India.
“We want to release this to the public before the man can try to crush it,” one of the coders texted to the WSJ. “They’ll still come after us, but that’s OK.”
Kanye’s attorney Brad Rose has demanded the coders stop using the name or any variation of it, hand over their website, and deactivate all social media sites featuring the tag Coinye. Rose says West also plans to “pursue all legal remedies against any business that accepts the purported Coinye West currency.”

I heard m*therfuckers saying they made Hov/Made Hov say, “Ok so, make another Hov”-Jay Z on “Lost Ones”
(AllHipHop News) Bromance? Frenemies? The nature of Jay Z and Dame Dash’s relationship post- Roc-A-Fella breakup is still murky and Dame may have gave it more vagaries.
In a recent interview for the upcoming February issue of Details Magazine, Dash spoke on his new ventures but most importantly his relationship with former business partner, Jay Z. In the interview, obtained by Complex, Dash asserts “I’m not counting that man’s money” before explaining his influence on Jay Z’s reported $470 million fortune:
It’s like saying, “I used to mess with a girl, and before I used to mess with her, she was mediocre. But because she started messing with me, I taught her things. I dressed her, and then I taught her how to have a career.” Does that mean after we break up I’m still supposed to be able to get some ass?’ He laughs at his crass analogy. ‘Like, I don’t feel entitled to that p*ssy. You understand what I’m saying? I don’t feel entitled to nothing he’s got.
Dash, never one to mince words went on to criticize the people Jay Z has been associated with in recent years. According to Dash, people like former Island Def Jam Lyor Cohen and Jay Z’s manager John Meneilly are only around Jay Z for monetary gain:
‘No disrespect to Jay—but every single person I see hanging around him is making money off him. They all conform so they can eat off him.’
This is not the first time Dash has hinted at being behind Jay Z’s business acumen during the Roc-A-Fella days to Details magazine. In 2005, a year after the infamous Roc-A-Fella split, Dash stated Jay was an “intelligent individual” whom needed to “show he can be the one to do the business part as opposed to the creative part.”

(AllHipHop Features) Tray Chaney is a man of many talents. The actor best known for his turn as “Poot” on HBO’s groundbreaking drama series The Wire, has also tapped back into to his Hip Hop roots in recent years. The DMV (D.C./Maryland/Virginia) native’s first taste of show business came early on when an elementary school aged Chaney danced at Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater.
Two decades later, the actor/rapper/author is no longer breaking on stage, but he has embraced another element of the culture by releasing several rap projects. Just don’t expect to hear lyrics reflective of his character’s drug dealing ways on The Wire. Chaney’s brand of Hip Hop is uplifting, celebratory, and socially conscious. Tracks like “Mike Bully” tackles bullying while “Live” is a song that shines a light on the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Chaney’s latest single, “Dedicated Father,” is an ode to the power and importance of fatherhood. The song’s video features four generations of Tray’s family – his grandfather Samuel Chaney Sr., father Samuel Chaney Jr., his son Malachi Samuel Chaney, and himself.
AllHipHop.com connected with Chaney to get his take on his “Fatherhood Movement,” his transition to music, the state of Hip Hop, which season of The Wire he believes ranks the highest, and what the future holds for him.
AllHipHop.com: You’ve been acting for while. What led you to want to pursue a career in rap music?
Tray Chaney: Well, I always had the passion for rap music since I was 8 years old. I remember coming to New York City performing at the Apollo Theater as a Hip Hop dancer and meeting Big Daddy Kane. Watching Kane perform inspired me so much to want to write music/perform, and as the years went by I just always wrote and recorded music. Once the recognition came from me becoming an actor, I always said when I get the chance to show the world another side, which was my music, I’m going to come strong, and so far independently it’s a great experience.
What was the inspiration for your latest song “Dedicated Father”?
Well, back in 2012 I dropped a record called “Fatherhood” and the song was just to uplift men/fathers to be there for their kids, but to my surprise I got a call from BET’s 106 & Park to come premiere the video on a special show called “Young, Single & Parenting” that was based on my video. So I knew then that I had something that really wasn’t being talked about in Hip Hop music.
Fast forward to “Dedicated Father,” it’s the continuation of my “Fatherhood” movement in Hip Hop, but this time I’m doing something no other Hip hop artist has done by introducing four generations which is my real grandfather, my dad, and my seven-year old son. Then I take it further talking about me being a step parent, which I hate to use that word, but it’s just extra motivation/inspiration for all the men/fathers to step up for their entire family. It’s very powerful.
Most of your songs focus on presenting positive and uplifting themes. Why did you decide to take your brand as rapper in that direction?
Because it’s time for change, and it’s time to take leadership in Hip Hop. I dare to be different. I’ve never been one to live my life like someone I’m not. Meaning, I’m not going to sit up here and lie to the fans about how much dope I sold to get on. That may be some artists’ case, which is fine if they had to do whatever they had to do to get on, but I’m the kind of artist that wants to keep it real with myself and the fans. That’s why I tackle issues like “Dedicated Father,” “Mike Bully” and HIV/AIDS records. Even when I dropped the video “Getting Money,” it’s still showing you a positive way to get your money. It’s giving you the real me and everything I represent which is why I chose this direction. It’s a fanbase for it.
When can fans expect a full album from you?
Definitely this year, but my three EPs are available on iTunes right now – Hungry Humble Honest Vols 1 & 2 and The Curriculum. Nine videos are shot that you can view on mrtraychaney.com. I have so much new material recorded, and I’m just piecing everything together with my team. Trust me, it’s coming 2014.
What’s you opinion on the current state of rap music?
I feel Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Wale, and I could name a list of others who are bringing Hip Hop back. I watch these guys and applaud them because it’s opening up the lane I’m in to introduce real music that means something. Jay Z, Kanye, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Eminem, Black Thought, Talib Kweli are my professors in the game. I’m the student sitting in back of the class learning. I’m excited for Hip Hop.
What about the rap movement coming out of the DMV. What do you in see in the future for that region’s Hip Hop scene?
Wale opened up the door. Love all of Wale’s music. Much respect to Fat Trel and the homie Shy Glizzy. They’re bringing light to our city, so it allows me to present the kind of music I’m bringing. I rock with my home team all day. They’re doing them, and I’m doing me.
What were some of your favorite Hip Hop projects from 2013?
Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. Wale’s The Gifted. Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city. Drake’s Nothing Was The Same. J. Cole’s Born Sinner.
2013 was a good year for alum of The Wire. Idris Elba and Michael B. Jordan were lauded for their respective movie roles last year, and Mack Wilds broke out as a music artist himself. Do you still keep in touch with any of your co-stars from the show?
I keep up with pretty much everyone. We see each other from time-to-time, but everyone is on their hustle which I love. I congratulate all The Wire alum, because their success is my motivation to keep going. It’s all about time, and we truly motivate each other.
Do you have any new acting roles coming up?
I’m in a new film called Jamesy Boy starring Ving Rhames and Mary Louise Parker. It comes out in theaters January 17th, and I have a song called “Self Made Star” featured in the film. I just dropped a film called 6 Hearts 1 Beat. It’s a different type of role which allows me to play another character that falls in love with a women with four kids. Very family oriented film. It’s coming out this year, but I can’t share the info. It’s going to be huge.
Any plans to write another book?
Yes, I’m writing The Truth You Can’t Betray Part 2. So much has happened in my life, and I just feel when I release my second book it’s going to touch hearts. I love sharing inspirational dialogue with my fans. Thanks to everyone the copped the first The Truth You Can’t Betray.
You’ve been an outspoken advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and bullying prevention. Why have you taking on those particular issues as your personal social causes?
Well, I have a family member that has HIV/AIDS, and to see my family member go through everything that they have to go through made me want to speak about the issue through Hip Hop to just encourage people to practice safe sex and get tested. It’s always good to know your status. As far as “Mike Bully,” I was bullied as a kid, and I handled it by engaging in physical altercations, but I found out that wasn’t the right way to go. So when I see young kids committing suicide and going through emotional stress because of bullying, it made me want to inspire again through music for our young people to just know they can stand up against bullying and be encouraged.
Going back to your time on The Wire. Some people consider it the greatest T.V. show of all time. When you first started on the series did you have any idea that it would become such a highly celebrated program?
Honestly, I didn’t! It was my first television gig ever and looking back I knew I was a part of something, but I didn’t know it would be considered historical. I’m blessed to be a part of such a wonderful cast with cast members that I consider family. The show displayed reality, and it was, and still is, the realist show ever.
I spoke with Tristan (Wilds) a few months back, and I asked him what he thought was the best season of The Wire. Since Poot was one of the few drug dealing characters that survived all five seasons it would be interesting to know your answer to that question.
First season hands down. We introduced the world to what they would see four seasons later. Period.
What can the world expect to see from Tray Chaney in 2014?
Mrtraychaney.com is my brand. I’m dropping films and music all year. I’m on my way to shoot my tenth and eleventh videos now. February 1st I’ll hand a new exclusive video over to you.
Follow Tray Chaney on Twitter @traychaney.

He might have a bright future in music ahead of him but I will say, dad could have kept the profanity out of it.
