Hip-Hop Rumors: Does Remy Ma Have A Deal Waiting For Her?

In less than a year, Remy Ma will come home. Get ready to drop the confetti!

Remy did a horrible thing, but she was still dope as a rapper. And, she left the door open for Nicki to waltz in! So, I am hearing that Rem already has offers on the table to join a couple “situations.” But, I heard, more notably that there is some interest coming out of the French Montana crew for Rem to join. Even though she did a stretch, Rem is still on 31 years old (basically the same age as Nicki Minaj) so she’s not gonna be ancient or anything like that. There are quite a few females out there, but a lot of them don’t seem to be able to be operating at a high level like Rem did and Nick does.

Remember this?:

Or this?

Or this?

And this is just her commercial rap stuff.

Remy battled it out. Here’s Remy Ma vs. Lady Luck at Fight Klub!

Drake Reportedly Kicks Future Off Tour Over Billboard Comments

(AllHipHop News) It appears that if you say anything remotely negative about Drake, you will be excommunicated. According to The New York Post’s Page Six, Drake reportedly has kicked Future off of the upcoming Would You Like A Tour? after Future’s comments in a recent Billboard interview.

In the Billboard  inteview, Future claimed Drake had an “album full of hits” that did not “make you feel the way I do” with his new album Honest. According to a source with Page Sixfollowing those comments Drake informed his touring agent “either Future gets fired, or he’ll fire him” and subsequently took him off the tour.

Future’s reps attempted to say Future was misquoted in the Billboard interview and negotiations to bring Future back on to the tour commenced, however with the caveat that Future take less money. Allegedly in response to the new provisions of the contract, Future not only denied their offer but is now suing Drake for $1.5 million of lost wages.

It is reported that Future was set to make upwards of $40,000 per show.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What Gangster Is Still In The Music Game?

When America wants you, they generally get you. The latest is scary to these industry cats, because it reflects a way more volatile era in rap.

See that dude in the pic below with Tupac?

That’s a man named Haitian Jack, the infamous! He was deported out of the United States and now lives in the Dominican Republic. Now, Pac called him a federal informant and there has been some reports that appear to confirm that. But before Pac called him out, Haitian Jack was known as a gangster and Stick up dude that was able to offer protection to rappers in the music game. I also heard he gave them hoes. But, I heard that he still has some very strong ties to the music game to this day and still offers his services.

Not to suggest Waka needs his services, but here he is with Waka in DR.

haitian jack and waka

There are some other names that are floating around the music game, not Waka though.

Talib Kweli Offers Pre-Order For Upcoming Album “Gravitas”

(AllHipHop News) In today’s music market, artists are constantly embracing ways to get their product to their fans without the traditional top-down major label/distributor model. Veteran emcee Talib Kweli is one of the performers who is skipping the “middlemen” for the release of his new album Gravitas.

Consumers can now pre-order the LP directly from Kweli’s website Kweliclub.com. Gravitas is the Black Star member’s 6th solo album. It will be the second studio project from Kweli this year following his Prisoner of Conscious album released in May.

[ALSO READ: EXCLUSIVE: Talib Kweli Escapes The Prison Of The ‘Conscious Rapper’ Label With New Album]

Talib posted on the site:

When you pre-order my newest project, Gravitas, available Dec 15th, you will be buying it directly from me, no middleman, and I will now have a direct relationship with you. Who needs this industry when we have each other. The technology exists for me to have this relationship with the fans, and vice versa. It is a grand experiment. Lets go for it!

The Brooklyn rapper is also providing some fans with exclusive access during upcoming shows. Attendees who purchase separate tickets to private meet and greet discussions will be able to interact and take photos with the star at the venue before the concert begins.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Raz B Arrested?

I just got this one in and I don’t think anybody else has it. I’m hearing that Raz B got arrested. Why? Before we get into that, I’m hearing that Raz claims that he was profiled by the police in Las Vegas. The guy was apparently driving and then BOOM, the cops see him and decide to pull him over for no reason. And, then they proceed to beat that tail – oh, my bad, they just ripped his shirt since he allegedly tried to run away. Now, I am dead against police brutality, but sometimes it seems like Raz does this stuff to himself. There have been way too many publicity stunts to name. But, the cops could have charged Raz with resisting arrest, but probably didn’t. He WAS I heard booked on a few thousand dollars worth of traffic infractions. Apparently, Raz’s ties to China are very serious, because when he tried to pay his tickets, he used a CHINESE credit card and it didn’t work! However, he apparently was able to draw cash from an ATM and paid it off that way. LOL! This dude never gets a good rap.

Remember last time he was on life support? SMH!

Waka was shot in the shoulder in 2010 after being approached by an armed man at car wash in Atlanta. Several months after the shooting, the BSM member released his debut album Flockaveli which featured the hit songs “O Let’s Do It” and “Hard In Da Paint.”

Daily Word: Have No Time for Regrets!!

Happy Tuesday my forward thinkers! Welcome to the day that we realize that looking back is not only a waste of time but a waste of talent, a waste of tomorrow, and an impediment towards success! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to having no time for regrets! In life there will be many things that we wish we would’ve done differently and by all means spending time recollecting those mishaps are healthy to move forward but spending too much time there can set you back! What is important to realize is that you should NEVER REGRET! If it was good then its wonderful, if it was bad then it was experience! Your yesterday’s are what has shaped your today and no matter what you say or do there is absolutely nothing that can change the past! The only power you have is right now!! Don’t give it away by concentrating on something you can’t control! Focus on today and be the best that you can possibly be! Everything happens for a reason, instead of wishing things were different, use that energy to ensure that going forward you get everything your heart desires! You are in control! Take what you deserve!!

Maino Recently Arrested In New York City (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn rapper Maino was arrested in New York City a few weeks ago after being pulled over by police for driving a vehicle without a front license plate. TMZ reports that officers then discovered that the “Hi Hater” performer’s driver’s license was suspended, and they hauled him to jail.

Maino apparently pled guilty to the charges and paid a fine. He says that his driver’s license has been returned since the September 25th incident took place, but still refuses to put a front license on his 2008 Bentley because he doesn’t want to drill any holes in the car.

Maino just released his new track “What Happened” featuring Jadakiss.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Love And Hip-Hop Leaking All Over The Place?

These folks are getting farther and farther away from Love and Hip-Hop on these shows! But, I won’t judge. Everybody’s gotta eat somehow or another, I GUESS. Anyway, it seems Mona Scott-Young is not happy that some of the insider details of her new show has leaked to the internet. She has not come out and denied much of the rumor even though she did shoot down most of the Love and Hip-Hop Houston rumors. But, there is Los Angeles and New Orleans…what about Love and Hip-Hop Philly and Miami and, hell, why not Guatemala! Anyway…here is what is floating on the internets. It talks about Mona and Karrueche, but also offers additional details.

Mona threatened that if she finds out who leaked the potential cast she will fire them because they all signed a confidentiality contract. The reason for Mona’s anger was because she was trying to work things out with a few of the potential cast members like Karrueche who was interested in the show if she could promote her “The Kill” line, but had not discussed the proposal with Chris yet. Needless to say Chris was not happy when he got word via the internet that Karrueche was in talks to possibly join the show without talking it over with him first. And Karrueche didn’t know Chris ex Jasmine Sanders was in talks to be on the show either. Mona was also upset because Ray-J is locked into a contract with Oxygen doing their “Bad Girls Club Battle” and the only way he would be able to get around his contract with Oxygen was if he went on Love & Hip-Hop LA as a co-producer. Oxygen got word and reminded Ray of his obligation to them not VH1. Also Mona worked with Diddy during the Viacom days and was planning on working something out with him and possibly having Cassie play a miniscule role (Lola Monroe’s bff) on the show, but integral enough for her to promote her music and modeling career. Plus Tyga and Blac Chyna were in talks with E! and Mona wanted to lock them in with her show before E! became aware of their popularity, being E!’s new EVP (Jeff Olde) use to be the EVP at VH1, and worked with Mona to make Love & Hip-Hop the success it is now.

As you know Mona was quick to publicly deny that bootleg Houston cast with a bunch of nobodies which was totally false, but has yet to make a public statement denying the Love & Hip-Hop LA cast.

Ken Rebel – R.E.B.E.L. (Revolution. Exists. Behind. Every. Leader)

As a youth, like many urban youths in rough areas, Ken Rebel was reeling to find his way in the rough streets of Brooklyn’s notorious Bed-Stuy region of New York City.  As a senior in high school Ken was getting into so much trouble his mother wanted him to join the military.  But it wasn’t in the stars (and stripes) for Ken to fight America’s wars – Ken is now fighting a much more important war in the world by leading a revolution in Hip-Hop. His revolution is so profound he’s gotten the attention of the whole world of Hip-Hop blogs and sites and he has even gotten some due attention from the like of Kendrick and the TDE camp, as Ken Rebel went to his first Summer Jam concert in NYC with the TDE team this past year.

If you haven’t heard Ken’s project R.E.B.E.L. this is a must read interview as Ken explains how his raps are about a lifestyle of being yourself and being an individual.  Ironically thats something that our military fights for in other countries every day – and Ken was almost right along side our troops overseas. Now instead Ken writes artistic and revolutionary raps about his world and the life he has come to know.

Take a look at AllHipHop’s sit down with Ken Rebel as he breaks down the lifestyle raps that have been getting  the attention of fans and media world-wide.

AllHipHop: So talk to me about this R.E.B.E.L tape that your people Walk Like Us put out.  Its been making a lot of noise online. What does R.E.B.E.L. stand for?

photo

Ken Rebel: Well it’s my first official tape I released. R.E.B.E.L. is an acronym for Revolution. Exists. Behind. Every. Leader. It’s just my entry into the Hip-Hop world and it was it is. It was my first piece of art released to the people. I’m just happy that it was so well received and all the support that it received.

AllHipHop: What is Walk Like Us and what is the movement about?

Ken Rebel: I really couldn’t explain it to you, thats my boy Reams joint, its his movement, he helped with Rich Homie Quan and Cam’ron, his movement is beautiful, he helps a lot of talent get heard by people and he helped get my tape on LiveMixtapes. He gets the music out there and helps get us where we need to be at.

AllHipHop: Talk about your come up and what part of the city  (NYC) you are from…

Ken Rebel:  I’m from Brooklyn, Bedstuy, and yea man when I basically started, how I got on, I had this blog by Tumblr (http://pharaohs-n-rebels.tumblr.com/) and I used to my advantage, and I started getting traffic to my site and put myself out there, and people just started coming in to see what Ken Rebel was doing. I had a history behind what I do and so that’s basically how I got the fan base. I started on the blogs and then they just rolled with me from there, but it started on Tumblr.

AllHipHop: I remember your dope live performance at SXSW. Can you explain what you do to prepare for your shows and how you go about getting ready for a performance?

Ken Rebel:  That performance was hard because I had to do it by myself, they didn’t even have my hype man Vic in, but its all about pleasing the crowd and just making sure everyone is having a good time. Its cool because the bigger you get as an artist, the less b######## you really gotta go through and deal with when it comes to performing. It’s good now because I’m not having to deal with b######## at the clubs. When they know you as an artist they all cooly cool, but you know some clubs be on that b####### with the 21 and up s###. But now it’s all cool.

AllHipHop:  What kind of beats and artists have been inspiring you recently to pick up the pen and to write?

Ken Rebel: I can’t say that its any artists in particular so much as it’s the lifestyle. I want to give the lifestyle to the people. That what the Rebel Life is about, you don’t have to be uncomfortable. I want to show them that this is a way of life.  You can go on living and you can feel comfortable. If you want to be happy, be happy.  I want people to know that you can live your life comfortably. If you want to go do something get up and go do it, nobody is stopping your from doing it. You can do whatever the f*ck you wan to do if you put your mind to it.

AllHipHop: What experience do you look back on that really inspired you and that made you want to really do this for real as a career? Was there an experience that really made you think this was a viable career?

Ken Rebel: Well my senior year I was getting in mad trouble and my mom was about to make me join the military and it was the same time my fan base was growing. So my mom and me were on the way to the military office, on the way to the office some fans came up to me and they were going crazy. My mom saw it and she was like, “Ok, I see you got some fans.” Then once we got to the military office it was closed, it wasn’t a holiday or anything and from there I was just like, that’s a sign man. I was like well maybe I am supposed to do this s###. So  I’m 19 years old and I’m just counting my blessings man, it’s a really cool thing.

Ken Rebel – “money money money”

AllHipHop: That’s dope man, so what’s up next, some visuals?

Ken Rebel: Yessir! October 14th I release the new visual. From the flow to the beats to everything, Ken Rebel is maturing. Everything is maturing and like 5-10 years from now I know I’ll be reaching my full potential.   I know that I’m getting so good at my craft and I know it’s a lot more to come and a lot more creativity to come etc.  It’s a beautiful thing, just getting everyone ready for it all. Everything just gets better and better, its all coming into place.

AllHipHop: Well I know we are all happy to have you part of the Breeding Ground, and we are all looking forward to seeing what you got up your sleeves. Thanks for taking the time to link with us.

Ken Rebel: Just know the music is coming and that’s it, new project is available via LiveMixtapes, new project will be before SXSW 2014. Early 2014.

Watch Ken Rebel perform at the 15 year Anniversary Concert @ SOB’s this Thursday!
