(AllHipHop News) Warner Bros. Records and Brick Squad Monopoly have revealed a June 12 release date for Waka Flocka’s sophomore album, Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family.
Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family currently has two singles in rotation on radio – “Round Of Applause” featuring Drake, which was released last summer, and the Trey Songz-assisted “I Don’t Really Care.”
The latter is currently the #1 most-added song on radio, and there are plans to shoot a video for the single on April 10.
Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family is set to include features and appearances from B.O.B., Tyga, Drake, Trey Songz, Ludacris, and more. In addition, Waka Flocka has just been added to the lineup for Drake’s second U.S. run of his “Club Paradise Tour” where the Atlanta rapper will travel to 27 cities over the course of two months and perform with J. Cole, 2 Chainz, and French Montana.
Waka’s first Warner Bros. release, Flockaveli, was touted as “the most anarchic rap album of 2010” by The Washington Post, and “one of the most bracing and unforgiving Hip-Hop releases in recent memory” by The New York Times.
Flockaveli produced four hit singles including the triple platinum cut “No Hands” which featured Roscoe Dash and Wale, “Oh Lets Do It,” “Grove St. Party” and “ Hard In Da Paint.” To date, the album has sold over 300,000 copies.
Tickets and dates for the “Club Paradeise Tour” can be found at LiveNation.com. Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family is scheduled for a June 12 release.

Dire-hard Dee-1 fans Eric and Chris drove a few hours to see Dee-1 perform at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts recently.
Unfortunately, according to Dee-1’s camp, the fan-tastic duo read the concert flyer wrong and arrived several hours after the show had already ended. Being the good guy that he is, the rapper/activist didn’t send them home disappointed. Watch the video below!
Check for Dee-1’s The Focus Tape in the coming months. Follow him on Twitter (@DEE1MUSIC).

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn Bodega, the producers behind the 8th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, have announced this year’s “Show & Prove Competition” where up-and-coming MCs can compete for the opportunity to perform at this year’s festival.
The “Show & Prove” competition takes place over the course of three months and consists of three preliminary contests to be held on April 12, May 10, and June 14. The three preliminary contest winners will compete for an opening slot during the festival’s “Performance Day.”
Wes Jackson, executive director of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival had the following to say about the competition: “We conceived Show & Prove as a way for up-and-coming MCs to play New York’s biggest stage. Tank is on a roll. Not too long ago, he released his visual for the first single off of his new album “Next Breath”. Now, he’s hitting us with a visual for a track from his mixtape, Diary of a Mad Man.
Check the Mike Ho-directed visual below:
Tank’s fifth album, This Is How I Feel, is due on May 8.
Rapper Lil’ B made headline’s last June when he named his album “I’m Gay”. The rapper explained the album title by saying the following below:
“I’m not literally a homosexual, but I’m happy…I did it to also embrace the homosexual community also, but some motherFawkers was like, I copped out, ‘Ah B, you should’ve stuck with the ‘I’m Gay’ title.’ I’m not totally gay, but I am gay. Salute.”
Well, we hear that the self proclaimed “princess” has allegedly had a change of heart and will be making an “earth shattering” announcement in two weeks that will speak to his true sexuality. The reported announcement will be made at a special discussion at NYU taking place in two weeks, where Lil’ B will allegedly be coming out of the closet as a bisexual man.
Lil’ B just released a new single entitled “Ima Eat Her A$$”. Check out his “swag” in the video below. Enough said.
The news headlines are packed to capacity with ongoing stories about the death of 17-year-old Florida teen Trayvon Martin. The angles are spinning on the troubling story of his February 26 murder at the hands of George Zimmerman faster than the public can keep up with. But two things about the story are certain – a young man is gone, and there is a growing racial divide in America.
The Hip-Hop world has used its voice vigilantly in the past to raise awareness about the ills going on within our communities, and the Trayvon Martin case is no different. Jasiri X, Plies, and Mistah F.A.B. have all dropped tribute tracks in the past two weeks to spread the word about what they see as an injustice with Zimmerman having not been arrested. Still, there aren’t oodles of rappers willing to put their necks or lyrics on the line in the name of justice for the deceased young man from the infamous hoodie incident.
Immortal Technique is different. But then again, he always has been.
The rapper/activist from Harlem spends his life mostly on the road, touring and leading charitable movements in places that most of us would never dare venture to. His outspoken perspectives – created in part by his family’s international background, a stint in prison, and trips to war-torn Afghanistan and beyond – are the stuff of rap legend.
AllHipHop.com sat down with Immortal Technique yesterday in New York City to get his special take on the story that has us all up in arms. Watch the video and share your thoughts on why Trayvon Martin wasn’t just a Black boy:
Trust us. You should come back for more of our interview with Immortal Technique in the coming days. He’s got a “revolutionary” documentary on the way!
