GUCCI MANE VS YOUNG JEEZY IS ON AGAIN?

I heard that there is a new beef with Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy! Did you hear anything about this? From what I heard, Jeezy and Gucci were down at a club in the ATL Wednesday night. Well, Gucci allegedly went over the Jeezy to shake his hand and Jeezy said something like “Go ‘head with that.” Then, it all went downhill from there.

Whoa…this could be weird. Apparently, Swizz Beatz tried to get Eminem to do a second installment of “Stan,” which was going to be dedicated to people I diss. Sike…it was going to be on the Relapse album. That didn’t fly with Eminem, which was a smart move for Em. BUT..Swizzy is not one to give up! Swizzy took the idea to Lil Wayne, who liked it. The catch is they will call it “ANNE” and make it about a female. “There was a lot of controversy over this before,” explained Swizzy. “The Eminem album before [‘Recovery’], ‘Relapse,’ I submitted a beat to him called ‘Stan 2.’ When I was doing an interview and they said, ‘What you working on?’ [Em] was amongst the people in the lineup I submitted things for. I said, ‘I did a track for Eminem called ‘Stan 2.’ So it got out of hand in the media. He didn’t want to do ‘Stan 2.’ But what I have on my album is a song called ‘Anne’ with Wayne, which is crazy.”

Is there a beef on the horizon between two popular titans?

 Apparently there is something bubbling between Drake and Kanye West. Not so sure what is up, but it seems that Drake has been quoted as saying that Kanye West is a lyricist driven purely off EGO, but his (Drake’s) is rooted in life experience. What’s that all about? Hmmph! Anyway, Drake is supposedly dropping another album this year. Also, Jay and Kanye are rumored to be dropping and EP on the same day as Nicki Minaj. STRANGE.

(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross has replied to reports after a sex tape allegedly featuring the rapper and an unidentified woman hit the Internet. Grainy footage of a man resembling Rick Ross frolicking with a semi-nude woman has been circulating since yesterday (September 22nd), after the clip was posted on Thisis50.com, a website controlled by Ross’ rival, 50 Cent.According to reports, the tape was supposed to have been taken before Rick Ross achieved worldwide fame as a rap star. “Just saw the so called sex tape..the ni**a had a louie flag in back pocket but forgot the tattoes [sic],” Ross tweeted today, just before he made a radio appearance on WIZF 101.1 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Drake Helps Launch New MTV Show ‘The Seven’

(AllHipHop News) On Monday (September 27th), MTV is set to debut a new live afternoon pop culture-driven show called “The Seven,” which will curate the seven, must know news stories of the day.The show’s first live in-studio guests are Hip-Hop sensation Drake, as well as the cast of the forthcoming film The Social Network (Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake). “MTV has played a pivotal part in my career from the beginning and I look forward to being a part of ‘The Seven’ from the start,” Drake told AllHipHop.com in a statement about the new program. In addition to the news, “The Seven”, which will be a daily, half-hour live studio based show, will also feature live interviews and performances.The Seven is hosted by former Chicago radio personality Kevin Manno and former “Mets Weekly” host Julie Alexandria and is taped in front of a studio audience in New York’s Times Square.“It’s become nearly impossible for our audience to keep track of all the issues that matter to them,” said Steve Tseckares, Senior Vice President of Special Programming and Production, MTV.  “The Seven will cut through the clutter and serve as a daily curator of the seven must-know items of the day.” “The Seven” is set to air September 27th at 5:00pm ET/ PT.

If you take a quick glance at the hip-hop landscape and you’ll notice, things have gotten a little stale.

I mean, there’s Kanye West making noise but most of the other big names seem to be on hiatus. The indies are grinding, making blips here and there, but are still under the radar for the most part. So much like a forest fire, all it took was a little spark for the next perceived slight to back draft into something bigger.

Kid Cudi and Wale are the latest to have their spat ignited by the masses. The craziest part — it all started over one lyric.

In a recent Complex magazine interview, Cudi touched on his past drug use, becoming a father, he and Kanye’s creative chemistry but the one question that got everyone’s attention was his response to a lyric in Wale’s “Thank You” freestyle where he said, “throwing ’round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit,” a reference an incident between Cudi and a concert goer in December 2009.

“It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that s### faze you,” said Cudi.

Oh snap, it’s on now!

But that was only the beginning. Cudi managed to get in shots of his own at Wale in the same interview, stating, “people like Wale get mad that ‘Ye ain’t give him no beats–‘Ye ain’t give you no beats because we ain’t [expletive] with your raps.” He continued, “it’s not a conspiracy theory. We don’t [expletive] with you musically, so we’re not going to provide music for you.”

Harsh. So what’s the tale of the tape?

In one corner, you have Wale, the de facto face of DMV (D.C., Md. Va.) hip-hop. He’s managed to reach a level of mainstream notoriety will simultaneously exposing the country to Go-Go, the sound native to his city, while bringing on long-time collaborators from the area along for the journey.

In the other corner, you have Cudi, a very unique artist, who is, technically, part of a new crop of Cleveland-bred emcees, like Chip The Ripper and others, carrying the torch Bone Thugs-N-Harmony helped light many moons ago. Although he cut his teeth doing shows in NYC and abroad, many would say he ushered in an era of mainstream emo rap with his debut album, Man On The Moon: The End of Day while having a well-documented hand in crafting Kanye West’s 808’s and Heartbreak in 2008.

There’s history too. They’re former collaborators and XXL Freshman classmates. Both had highly anticipated, generally well-received, debuts that still left some listeners unsure of what to expect from them as artists. Even with something left to prove, neither is shy about telling you how dope they think they are either.While it’s hardly the clash of the titans we’ve seen in the past. Jay-Z

Man Pleads Guilty In 2007 Pac Man Jones Shooting

(AllHipHop News) A man has pleaded no contest to attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon in a strip club melee involving NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones.Arvin Kenti Edwards entered the plea on Tuesday (September 21st) for shooting three people in 2007 outside of Minxx Gentlemen’s Club & Lounge, that left one man paralyzed and two others wounded. Edwards now faces four to 10 years since he pleaded out to three charges of attempted murder, three counts of battery with a deadly weapon and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Had Edwards went to trial, he could have been sentenced to up to 186 years in prison. Although maintained his innocence in the shooting, Edwards said he copped the plea to avoid the jail time. An amateur video hit the internet in 2007 during Edwards’ trial that was used during Edwards’ trial, featuring Jones and Nelly throwing money at strippers in the venue. Jones had brought in $100,000 in cash into the club and had $40,000 converted into $1 bills, which was thrown out to the dancers. When Jones joined Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri on stage, the So So Def CEO began chastising the dancers for picking up their tips before the music set ended.”We gonna show y’all how to make it rain,” Dupri bellowed. “I’m Jermaine Dupri, alright. Y’all are here to dance. Don’t bend down and try to get your money. Don’t start getting the money until I tell y’all to get off the stage. Y’all just keep f**king dancing!”Afterwards, a fight broke out between strippers over the money, while a promoter allegedly ran off with Jones’ money, which was stuffed in a trash bag. Jones allegedly met Edwards afterwards and offered to get Jones’ money back. Moments later, Edwards allegedly opened fire in the club. According to testimony, Jones paid an associate $15,000 which eventually went to Edwards, because Jones was allegedly scared Edwards would track him down.

IS this 50 Cent up to something? Was sent a link from thisis50.com and they were saying there is a Rick Ross sex tape/ I found the mere thought hilarious. I don’t know Ross would get caught out there like that, but the say there is a “non-nude.” All I can say is that the video is incredibly blurry and it shows a man with a beard with a woman in a dress.Somebody says it may be before the fame Rick Ross has had this far in.

CNN Taps Rap Star Ludacris As Judge For 2010 ‘Hero’ Awards

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star Ludacris may have feuded with Bill O’Reilly and the Fox TV Network, but rival CNN has tapped the rapper and an all-star cast of judges, who will name the Top 10 CNN heroes of 2010. CNN host Anderson Cooper will host the fourth annual “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute,” which will broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Thanksgiving night (November 25th). The show spotlights everyday people who are doing their part to make the world better a better place. According to CNN, over 10,000 nominations for CNN Heroes were received from more than 100 countries. The top 10 CNN heroes will be selected by a “blue-ribbon” panels of judges. In addition to Ludacris, Muhammad Ali, Richard Branson, actor Rainn Wilson, Ricky Martin, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, actress Holly Robinson Peete, supermodel Alek Wek and actor Hill Harper are also participating as judges. “CNN Heroes has illustrated the best of humanity through the telling of stories of selfless acts of kindness, courage and perseverance” said Jim Walton, president of CNN Worldwide. “We are honored to bring these Heroes the recognition they so deserve. It is a program the entire CNN family is proud of and excited to share with our viewers on Thanksgiving night.”Each of the Top 10 CNN Heroes will receive $25,000, while the Hero of the Year will take home $100,000 for their handwork and contributions to society. “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CNN, November 25th.
