(AllHipHop News) On March 13th the Memphis Police Department uncovered 10 loaded guns, drugs and cash as they arrested 28 people at rapper MoneyBagg Yo’s mixtape release party.
Held at the former Maserati Club on Highway 70 in Mason, Tennessee just outside of Memphis, MoneyBagg Yo, born Demario White, was arrested and booked on drug and gun charges but shortly after bonded out.
According to WMCActionNews5, Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said it was “targeting criminal activity, violence and probation or parole violators.”
Also uncovered was a bullet proof vest and cash (video/images below).
According to law enforcement officials, some of release party attendees “were gang members that belong to the Vice Lords, Gangster Disciples, Bloods and Crips.”
Fox 13 reported that the surveillance was in response to, “similar events in Tipton and Lauderdale counties which resulted in a homicide, multiple shootings and drugs and weapons arrests.
Shortly after the arrest, an image emerged on MoneyBagg Yo’s Facebook showing him with handfuls of cash.
“JUST A YOUNG FLY N*GGA BT U KNO IM BOUT DAT CA$H MF!!” he said.
Also included in the arrests were several undocumented immigrants at which point Federal authorities were notified.
