(AllHipHop Music) The visual anthem shows JUS staying true to his New York roots as always, rapping.. up and down the streets of NYC Chinatown while reminding us that it’s his year to take it all over. The music video was produced by Strange Nature Productions. It’s refreshingly, simplistic, yet unique at the same time.
In 2009, at the tender age of 14, JUS began taking his own music seriously using a desktop computer in his living room. By 2015, JUS had already released 3 mixtapes, the latter two, titled “The Chase” (2013) and “Any Given Sunday” (2015), being original works in collaboration with a high school buddy, keyboardist “Kavar.” Songs from these projects have seen popularity on the music site “Hot New Hip Hop.” Still in high school, JUS linked up with Long Island producer Dee Wiz and wrote a record titled “Hands Up”, which was later recorded by Grammy nominated rap-duo Salt-n-Pepa. JUS has also performed on the same stage as various artists including Fabolous, Meek Mill, French Montana, B.o.B, Diplo, and Childish Gambino.
JUS was recently interviewed on Sway in the Morning and spoke about his current plan for his music stating ”This is my last semester though. Once I graduate then it’s all music. The last few records I put out have been growing pretty well. The first record I released, “On My Own”, has been getting a nice response and I’ve had some people reach out to me about that record alone. I’m working to get this new music out, because it’s a different vibe from what most of the youth is putting out and I feel these are the songs that will get people listening and paying attention”.
On Monday November 21st, 2016, JUS performed at a JBL audio party in Manhattan hosted by Hot 97’s own Miss Info as well as NBA superstar and rapper Damian Lillard AKA Dame D.O.L.L.A. DJ Enuff from HOT 97 and DJ Wonder from SHADE 45 were also in the building along with Talib Kweli who performed as well.
