Following his collaboration with Pop Smoke affiliate Sosa Geek, O Racks connects with Drake-producer Yozora for “I’m The Type.”
Accompanied by Rhoco Benjie and Zeeko, the follow-up to “We Made It” finds the New York native adopting a Detroit / LA-influenced flow while boasting about his lavish lifestyle. The trio effortlessly trade bars over the bouncy beat setting the stage for the Tree Gang Entertainment CEO’s next release.
“In Hollywood everyone parties together. When you’re not an LA native you notice the local’s taste in music. From what I witnessed, most people gravitate towards Cali and Detroit-type beats because the energy makes it easy to dance to. So I told the producer to send me something in that lane. Soon as I heard it, the first verse just flew out – I’m the type of n#### start it up and air it out. The rest was history,” says O Racks when describing the song’s origin.
Born and raised in Hempstead, O Racks decided early in life he would pursue music professionally. Dedicated to the craft, O Racks began rapping and creating songs, even traveling outside of the tri-city area expanding his reach to Rhode Island, California, Atlanta, and Miami.
With each release he acquired more fans and sharpened his skills, eventually catching the ear of Rich The Kid. The relationship spawned two records, “Prices” and “Look At Me, ” which received radio airplay soon after being released. Fast forward, he incorporated his independent music label Tree Gang Entertainment and took it to Hollywood.
