Talk about cleaning house! Although Tidal has emerged as one of the most talked about music services out now, the company, picked up by Jay Z, has made changes that questions its own uprising. According to XXL, several employees were let go from Tidal, along with the CEO of the company, Andy Chen, being replaced with Peter Tonsad, who happened to be the CEO of the company before Jay Z picked it up.
Tondsad released a statement about his reassigning as CEO
“I believe in TIDAL and what the team is doing to affect the change the music industry needs. We’re streamlining the company and refocusing our resources to ensure the platform continues to grow, and listeners can make a connection to their favorite artists. No one else is doing this.”
With all of these changes being made within Tidal, let’s hope that they all will make a positive impact.
