(AllHipHop News) The legend of Tupac Shakur is soon to be celebrated once again, as Take 3 Burgers, a restaurant located in downtown Fresno,CA will be holding a pop-up event on September 13 to honor the 20th anniversary of his passing.
According to The Business Journal, Take 3 Burgers will be partnering with Fresno Grizzlies Marketing Director Sam Hansen to create Powamekka Cafe, a restaurant that the late great was planning on opening in Los Angeles before his untimely death.
The one day pop-up restaurant will take over Take 3’s location at 1230 Fulton Mall with a Tupac themed menu, signage, and artwork.
Additionally, some of the new items on the menu will include the California Love chicken sandwich, Hennessy Apple Butter chicken wings, a mac-and-cheese burger and Thug Passion cake pops featuring champagne cake with Alize liqueur-flavored frosting.
“Working on Powamekka Café makes me feel like I’m bringing Pac’s vision to life like I used to do for Kanye,” says Hansen who also used to work with Yeezy creating designs and merchandise.
The concept for Powamekka Cafe was inspired by a previous collaboration between Take 3 Burgers and Hansen, in which a tribute breakfast was held to celebrate the Notorious B.I.G.’s birthday earlier this year.
