A rare 2Pac memento (that Digital Underground is also a part of) from well over 30 years ago is set to go up for auction later this month. On Monday (January 22), Nate D. Sanders Auctions announced they’ll be offering a concert ticket autographed by the late Hip-Hop icon in January 1992—just two months after the release of his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now. According to the press release announcing the auction, the ticket was signed on the verso in blue ballpoint pen and includes a personalized message that reads, ”PEACE 2U 2PAC.”
The concert ticket is from a live show date in 1992 featuring Digital Underground at the Warfield in San Francisco. The unique artifact will officially head to auction on January 26.
The rare opportunity for individuals to own an artifact from 2Pac’s early career and legacy could prove to be extremely lucrative based on the money generated from his previously auctioned items. A ring designed and worn by 2Pac during his final public appearance blew initial estimates through the roof after selling for a whopping $1.02 million at a Sotheby’s auction last year.
