R&B singer R. Kelly’s trial for child pornography has been delayed again, to an unknown date. Kelly, 40, faces 14 counts of child pornography due to an infamous, videotaped encounter with an alleged victim that may have been as young as 13-year-old. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Jury selection was to have started on September 17. Kelly appeared in court today (Sept. 4) when presiding Judge Vincent Michael Gaughan announced that the trial would be delayed for “personal” reasons that would later be on the record. Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the charges. Rapper Beanie Sigel recently dropped an exclusive single on AllHipHop.com titled “All of The Above” featuring R. Kelly.
Rapper Ludacris will host his 30th birthday in Las Vegas with an exclusive private dinner party named “Birthday for a Boss.” The birthday bash, which is sponsored by XM Radio, will kick off MTV VMA Weekend and is expected to draw artists like 50 Cent, Quincy Jones, Timbaland, Gnarls Barkley, executives Kevin Liles and Antonio “L.A.” Reid and others.
