Grammy-nominated Hip-Hop artist Yung Joc and R&B upstart Keri Hilson will perform tonight as former heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster makes his in-ring return tonight (August 30) against Danny Batchelder for the vacant heavyweight NABA title.
The 20-minute performance is scheduled to precede Brewster’s entrance for the main event at Cincinnati Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is being co-promoted by Brewster’s own Relentless Events.
The card will also feature Aaron Pryor Jr., son of Hall of Famer and legend Aaron Pryor.
Lamon Brewster (33-4, 29 KOs) is seeking to rebound from a stoppage loss to current world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in July 2007.
No stranger to boxing events, Yung Joc accompanied former welterweight and junior middleweight champ Cory Spinks to the ring for his title-winning effort against Roman Karmazin in 2006.
He is currently riding momentum from his guest spot on Hotstylz “Lookin Boy” and putting the finishes touches on his third LP Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood, due out in early 2009.
Keri Hilson is prepping the October 7 release of her debut In a Perfect World, powered by the lead single “Energy.”
Both artists will perform again at Club Ritz for the official after-party.
The venue is located on 1752 Seymour Ave. in Cincinnati.
The untelevised bout can be viewed online for $1.99 at www.gofightlive.com, beginning at 8pm eastern time.
Tickets for the event ranging from $12-$102 are still available at all Ticketmaster outlets.
