The three-year-old project continues to rack up sales numbers.

Last week, Cardi B made history when her new single “Up” debuted at #2 on the Hot 100 chart. This week, Cardi made history when her album Invasion of Privacy crossed a major milestone on the Billboard 200 chart.

Invasion of Privacy currently sits at #100 on the most recent rankings of America’s top-selling projects for the week. So far, it has spent a total of 150 weeks on the Billboard 200 after opening at #1 with 255,000 first-week units in April 2018.

Cardi’s debut studio LP is the first album released by a female rapper to appear on the Billboard 200 at least 150 times. IOP also achieved numerous other accolades since it arrived three years ago. Most famously, it was the first solo project by a female rapper to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

Plus, all thirteen tracks from the LP have been certified Gold, Platinum, or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America which made Cardi B the first woman to ever accomplish that feat. IOP was also named the most-streamed female rap album in Spotify history.

The RIAA certified Invasion of Privacy as 3x-Platinum. Cardi’s introductory LP hosts the two Hot 100 #1 singles “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin. Both of those tracks have crossed the 9x-Platinum mark, making the Bronx native the only female rapper to have two tracks with over 9 million sales.

In August 2020, she dropped the #1 single “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion which was followed by “Up” in February 2021. A year ago, when asked about the possible premiere of her sophomore studio album, the Hip Hop superstar stated, “I’m not sure. I can never put a date on it. When you feel like you got those songs, that’s when it’s gonna come out. I cannot put a date on my ears. When I feel like I have it, that’s when.”
