Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy still haven’t found out who will join them as an official host of The Breakfast Club. Rumors suggested Jess Hilarious would take the role, but it appears the decision hasn’t been finalized.
Footage of Jess Hilarious announcing herself as the permanent panelist for the Power 105.1-based syndicated show made its way to the internet in December 2023. The Baltimore-bred comedian had served as one of the rotating guest hosts.
TMZ caught up with Charlamagne Tha God in New York City to get his thoughts on the current state of The Breakfast Club. The cameraperson asked him about a potential third voice on the show.
“That is a great question,” he said. “I would like to know the answer to that. We said we were gonna start 2024 off with a new host and that hasn’t happened yet.”
When directly asked about Jess Hilarious’s status with the show, Charlamagne Tha God said, “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know. But I’m not happy. We’ll find out soon enough though.”
The television personality/podcaster also declared that he didn’t want any more guest hosts for The Breakfast Club. In addition to Jess Hilarious, iHeartMedia recruited Porsha Williams, Jason Lee, Claudia Jordan and others as temporary presenters.
Viewers and listeners of The Breakfast Club have been waiting for the pronouncement of a new host since Angela Yee revealed her departure in August 2022. Yee currently leads Power 105.1’s Way Up syndicated radio program.
