(AllHipHop News) Rap mogul Russell Simmons and his brother Danny are hosting their annual Art For Life benefit gala fundraiser, and this year he will honor a hip-hop legend.
Public Enemy’s Chuck D is among the influencers who will be honored during the 2017 Art For Life benefit gala, which is themed “Midnight at the Oasis” this year.
In addition to Chuck D., Eggleston Bracey, Bozoma Saint John, Stephen G. Hill and Sanford Biggers will be rewarded for their support of the arts, career achievements, and overall commitment to our communities.
The money raised from the charity event helps fund various programs Rush Philanthropic supports, including Rush Little Kids, Rush Kids, Rush Teens and Rush Galleries in Schools, which serves over 3,000 students annually.
This year’s Rush Philanthropic Foundations’ Art For Life benefit takes place in Water Mill, NY on July 15.
