Dame Dash’s wife has filed for divorce from the Roc-A-Fella Records/Rocawear co-founder, according to a recent report.
An electronic record of the case claims that Rachel Roy, a well-known fashion designer, filed for the divorce because of “nonmonetary relief,” reports the New York Daily News.
The papers were filed in Manhattan Supreme Court earlier this month.
A lawyer for Roy declined to comment on the case and a rep for Dash didn’t return correspondence for comment.
The pair got married in January 2005 in Mexico. They have two daughters.
Dash has been reportedly burdened with tremendous debt. According to published reports, he owes $2 million in state taxes and foreclosure proceedings have started on his two Manhattan homes.
Dash is also has a number of other legal matters that pertain to his debt.
