“Panda” collected 40.1 million domestic streams in one week. That total gives Desiigner the record for the highest numbers of streams for a song by a rapper over a seven-day period.
In addition, the Brooklyn rhymer joins a very short list of acts to reach over 40 million song streams during a single week. Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” amassed 103 million streams in 2013, followed by Adele’s “Hello” with 61.6 million in 2015 and Rihanna’s “Work” with 46.5 million in 2016.
Earlier this year, Desiigner earned the distinction of being the youngest male artist to reach #1 on the Hot 100 since Chris Brown in 2007. “Panda” is currently at #3 on the Hot 100 and the Digital Songs charts. The record also holds the #1 spot on the Hot Rap Songs and Rap Streaming Songs chart.
