DJ Quik‘s
6th solo album, Under Tha Influence, has been pushed back to a June 4th release
date. The album was delayed so that Quik and Dr. Dre could go back into a studio
in Los Angeles to work on two last minute additions for the album. Under Tha
Influence is being regarded as one of Quik’s best albums to date and garnered
an impressive 4 Mics in The Source, a magazine that Quik has had major beef
with in the past.
Quik will also be in New York City on April 22,
taping an episode of BET’s Rap City. Quik’s first single, "Trouble,"
recently debuted on 106 and Park. In related Quik news, he produced Truth Hurts
first single, "Addictive," which features legendary emcee, Rakim.
