And that figure only grew after he lost another $800,000 by betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder to beat the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals on Thursday night (June 19).
The Pacers clobbered the Thunder 108-91, setting the stage for a highly anticipated Game 7.
“Gotta share the other side of gambling…” the 38-year-old rapper wrote. “Losses are so fried right now.”
The image showed a breakdown of his betting activity, with wagers totaling $50.2 million in the past week, $75.3 million over two weeks and a massive $124.5 million across the last 30 days.
His net loss? A bruising $8,235,686.
The “Hotline Bling” artist has long been open about his love for sports betting, often posting both wins and losses.
Back in January, he celebrated a $630,000 win after betting on the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. But this time, the numbers weren’t in his favor—and social media had thoughts.
“I can’t imagine a world where I’d feel comfortable gambling that amount of money away and then sharing screenshots,” one user commented.
Others speculated the losses may not have come from his own pocket, suggesting Drake could be playing with house money from sponsorship deals.
“He gets sponsorships,” another user wrote. “They essentially give him money to play with on their platform, advertise the plays, and therefore encourage fans to also gamble. This guy didn’t lose $120M of his own money.”
