Fatman Scoop and his wife Shanda signed a new television development deal and first-look book and DVD deal with MTV, based on their series Man and Wife. Created by Fatman Scoop and Shanda, Man and Wife offers an interactive and insightful look at the couple’s relationship. The series was launched earlier this year as a weekly podcast on http://www.manandwife.tv, which currently reaches over 3 million fans. “Now we want to bring our expertise to an even wider audience and we think MTV offers the perfect way to connect with today’s viewers,” Fatman Scoop said. Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, recently departed from New York radio station Hot 97 for the small screen. “Fatman Scoop and Shanda are not only made for each other but are made for television,” said MTV series development and animation vice president Tony DiSanto. “Their hilarious and frank discussions could help usher in a new era of public discourse on everything from sex and sexuality to romance in a committed relationship and bring Scoop and Shanda to an even wider audience.”
