(AllHipHop News) Earlier today (December 21), TMZ reported that boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be serving a 90-day jail sentence, following a guilty sentence from a domestic violence incident back in 2010.
He is expected to turn himself in by January 6th.
According to charges, the September 2010 incident involved Mayweather hitting the mother of his children in front of them, and then later threatening to beat them as well.
He later reached a plea deal where he would plead guilty to a misdemeanor and no contest to two harassment charges.
Via TMZ: “Floyd was sentenced to six months in jail, but three months of that sentence was suspended. He also gets three days credit for time he has already served.”
As part of the plea deal he reached with prosecutors, Mayweather was sentenced to serve six months in jail; however, three months of that sentence has been suspended.
He will also need to complete 100 hours of community service, pay a $2,500 fine, and attend a year-long program for domestic violence.
Floyd Mayweather can currently be seen sharing the cover of the December/January issue of XXL with friend 50 Cent.
