THE ATL REPRESENTATIVE IS ON PACE TO HAVE THE BEST SALES WEEK OF HIS CAREER

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Future is on pace to have the best first week sales of his career, and he is likely to open with the number one spot on the album chart for the first time. According to HitsDailyDouble, Future’s third studio album DS2 is projected to sell 125,000 – 135,000 copies with a SPS total around 135,000 – 145,000.

Future’s previous two albums did not even crack the 100K mark out the gate. 2012’s Pluto sold 41,000 copies in its first week, and 2014’s Honest pushed 53,000 copies over its initial week run.

The deluxe edition of DS2 includes the club banger “F*ck Up Some Commas” and “Where Ya At” featuring Drake. Metro Boomin produced a large number of tracks on the project. Zaytoven, Southside, Sonny Digital, Allen Ritter, Elijah Sacii, Cali The Producer, and others also contributed to the sequel to Future’s 2011 mixtape Dirty Sprite.

If Future’s numbers hold out and DS2 tops the Billboard 200, the Freebandz leader will join Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Wale, A$AP Rocky, and Meek Mill as the only rap stars to score #1 albums in 2015 so far.
