H.E.R. To Stream Her Lights On Festival Set In Virtual Reality Oculus Venues

The multi-instrumentalist is offering her fans a digital immersive experience.

(AllHipHop News) Grammy-winning vocalist Gabi “H.E.R.” Wilson is the latest artist set to present a performance via virtual reality. H.E.R. will VR stream her headlining set at the Lights On Festival in Oculus Venues.

The “Focus” singer is scheduled to hit the stage at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California on September 14 at 9:30 pm PT. The live simulation is being produced and broadcast by Supersphere. Viewers from across the world can watch the spectacle with a VR headset (Oculus Quest, Oculus Go).

H.E.R. curated The Lights On Festival. The showcase will also feature R&B acts Jhené Aiko, Daniel Caesar, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Kiana Ledé, DaniLeigh, Melii, Lucky Daye, Marc E. Bassy, LONR, Tone Stith, bLAck pARty, and Rayana Jay.

“Concord Pavilion is the ultimate venue. It is the perfect place to bring people from all over the Bay. I have many memories watching shows and DREAMING I’d be able to perform there. The Bay Area is my home… it’s a dream come true to host my festival there,” said H.E.R. in a press release.

Previously, Oculus Venues livestreamed A$AP Ferg’s “Mad Man Tour” show from Chicago’s House of Blues. That 2018 concert was set in a virtual stadium filled with global attendees.
