(AllHipHop News) Cincinnati, Ohio, producer Hi-Tek will be taking part in the “Young Voter Live” campaign presented by the League of Young Voters Education Fund (LYVEF).
Taking place at the Elementz Hip-Hop youth center in Cincinnati, the “Young Voter Live” chat is a continuation of the popular “Summer Chat Series” that tackles social topics such as politics, activism, and community building. Utilizing the popularity of celebrity guests and prominent moderators, Ohio voters are given an opportunity to learn more about the next group of government officials that will be seeking votes during next month’s elections.
To encourage the Ohio youth community to vote on the eve of the election, the Ustream chat will make it easy for them to participate and learn about important issues facing our country.
The LYVEF has been dedicated to registering voters throughout Ohio and empowering young people nationwide to participate in the democratic process over the years.
By “creating an environment of progressive political change on the local, state, and national level, and with a focus on non-college youth and youth from low-income communities and communities of color,” LYVEF leaders say that are looking to encourage youth to make changes in their voting patterns.
LYVEF and Hi-Tek will go live today at 4 p.m. EST. To tune in to this important Hip-Hop/political conversation, visit www.YoungVoterLive.com. Participants are encouraged to send questions via Twitter to @TheLeague99 and @HiTek.
