Prayers are going out to one of Hip-Hop’s most beloved comedians, the multi-talented Jamie Foxx, who recently lost his sister DeOndra Dixon.
On Monday, he posted a touching tribute to his little sister on social media— captioning the note saying that her transition “left a hole in my heart.”
He also posted a series of pictures detailing the extraordinarily close relationship with her. He wrote, “Anyone who knew my sis… knew that she was a bright light… I can’t tell you how many times we have had parties at the house where she has got on the dance floor and stolen the show… even gave her boyfriend @chrisbrownofficial a run for his money.”

Foxx continued, despite his understanding ache, “Well, I know she is in heaven now dancing with her wings on…tho my pain is unbelievable I smile when I think of all of the great memories that she left me… my family… and her friends.”
Fans might remember her from his “Blame It” music video, where the singer/comedian/Oscar winning-actor featured her as a dancer. She also was a 2011 Ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
Jamie Foxx pointed to Dixon as one of his muses, “You see this girl over here, ‘I just want to live. I want to dance. I want to love.’ So, she brings you back down to what life is.”
A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
