Jeezy Re-Ups With Def Jam & Signs On As Senior Advisor For The Label

Is the rap veteran the hardest working man in Hip Hop?

Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins is going to be a very busy man. Over the last few months, the Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 album creator was announced as the host of the Worth A Conversation Talk Show on Fox Soul and The (Re)Session Podcast on The Black Effect Podcast Network.

According to reports, Jeezy is also taking on the role as a senior advisor to Def Jam Recordings interim chairman and CEO Jeff Harleston. The iconic Hip Hop label also signed the Snowman to a contract extension as a recording artist.

“It’s an honor to return to the label I’ve called home for 15 years, not only as an artist, but as an executive,” said Jeezy. “I spent most of my career learning from trial and error, I am happy to say that I am back on the team that helped me build my legacy from the streets to the boardroom and nothing makes me more fulfilled than being in a position to help guide and add value to the next generation.”

2019’s TM104: The Legend of the Snowman is Jeezy’s most recent studio LP. He also dropped the 7-track Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision EP in March of this year. The Recession 2 album is scheduled to hit DSPs on November 20.

In addition to finalizing new media and executive jobs, Jeezy is also preparing to go head-to-head with Tip “T.I.” Harris in a highly-anticipated Verzuz matchup. The friendly clash between ATL legends is set to stream live on Thursday, November 19 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.
