(AllHipHop News) Political pundits are already sizing up potential Democratic presidential candidates for 2020. California Senator Kamala Harris is among the leading politicians expected to make a run for the White House.

Harris stopped by The Breakfast Club to chat with DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God. The Howard University graduate discussed the importance of HBCUs, the need for gun safety laws, and being a fan of fellow Bay Area native Too $hort.

The Q&A also included the senator discussing mass incarceration, criminal justice reform, police misconduct, decriminalizing marijuana, the Trump presidency, the political divisions in America, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Harris gained an internet following after her persistent questioning during a Senate hearing made Sessions admit she was making him nervous.

Power 105.1’s syndicated morning show is known for interviewing Hip Hop celebrities, but the popular program has also featured political figures. Previously, The Breakfast club conversed with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, former Attorney General Eric Holder, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and former Mexican President Vicente Fox.
