Kanye West was arrested this morning (November 14) after another run-in with a paparazzi photographer outside of a Newcastle nightclub.
The Chicago superstar was in town as part of the Glow in the Dark world tour, and performed last night at the Metro Radio Area.
The Northumbria police department verified a man was arrested today for the incident, but declined to identify West by name per normal British policy.
“We can confirm that a 31-year old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a Newcastle city center club in the early hours of this morning,” a Northumbria police spokeswoman released in statement. “He was released without charge and no further action is being taken.”
Kanye’s latest alleged confrontation with a photographer comes just two months after he was arrested at L.A.X. airport for manhandling a paparazzi photographer on film and angrily smashing his camera.
As with the UK arrest, West was released after the alleged victims declined to press charges.
Kanye West’s highly anticipated fourth album 808s and Heartbreak leaked on the internet this week, prompting the release date to be moved up to Monday November 24.
The Glow in the Dark UK tour will move on to Birmingham NEC on November 15, Glasgow SECC November 16, and finally the Manchester Evening News Area on Monday November 17.
At press time, Kanye West could not be reached for comment.
