Kim Kardashian Takes On Donald Trump Over Anti-Immigration Tactics

Kim Kardashian denounced the recent wave of ICE arrests in Los Angeles and criticized President Trump’s immigration crackdown as “inhumane” in a social media statement Tuesday (June 10).

At least 44 people were taken into custody last week during a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation aimed at what officials described as the removal of “criminal aliens from Los Angeles communities.”

The arrests triggered protests across the city, prompting the Los Angeles Police Department to enforce an emergency curfew in parts of downtown. LAPD confirmed “dozens of arrests” were made after demonstrators defied the order.

Kardashian, 44, took to her Instagram Stories to voice her frustration with the federal operation and the broader immigration policy it represents.

“When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals – great,” she wrote. “But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what’s right.”

The reality star and entrepreneur, who grew up in Los Angeles, emphasized the role immigrants play in shaping the city’s identity.

“Growing up in LA, I’ve seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city. They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family. No matter where you fall politically, it’s clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants,” she said.

“We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely.” Kim Kardashian ended her message with a direct plea: “There HAS to be a BETTER way.”

In a show of solidarity, she also reshared a clip from Doechii’s speech at the 2025 BET Awards, where the Hip-Hop artist called on President Trump to end the “ruthless attacks” on immigrant communities.

President Trump has deployed the National Guard and 700 Marines to secure federal buildings and personnel in the area.
