(AllHipHop News) For many NBA fans, Kobe Bryant is among the all-time elite basketball players. His resume includes 5× NBA champion, 2× NBA Finals MVP, NBA Most Valuable Player, 18× NBA All-Star, 4× NBA All-Star Game MVP, 2× NBA scoring champion, and 2× Olympic Gold medalist.

Bryant has now also added the most prestigious award in the film industry to his mantelpiece. The former Los Angeles Lakers guard picked up the Best Animated Short Oscar for Dear Basketball at the 90th annual Academy Awards.

Other NBA greats congratulated Kobe via Twitter. His former Lakers teammate Shaquille O’Neal posted, “Congrats to KOBE first Oscar that’s big bro ~~#~~dearbasketball. Proud of you, Big honor for you and your family. I’m jealous lol.”
