Grammy Award winning artist Lil’ Kim has teamed up with MusiCares to raise funds for a silent auction, being held at the Grammy’s On The Hill Ceremony in Washington, DC on September 5, 2007 at the Willard Continental.

 

MusiCares is a foundation with a mission that centers on providing assistance to people within the music industry in times of need.

 

MusiCares’ services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies.

 

Lil’ Kim, who also has her own Lil’ Kim Cares Foundation, is one of the many celebrities who has contributed to the Grammy Foundation’s cause.

 

“Lil’ Kim has generously donated a few of her personal collector’s items to benefit MusiCares, which is the charitable arm of the Grammy’s that provides a safety net of critical services and programs to members of the music community,” said Tafia L. Allah-Pringle, publicist for the Lil’ Kim Cares Foundation. “She will also be working with the Grammy Foundation on their ongoing student initiatives.”

 

The Lil’ Kim Cares Foundation raises funds, resources and awareness for national programs that assist with issues of homelessness, HIV/AIDS prevention, violence against women, child neglect and more.

 

The Grammy’s On The Hill Ceremony present awards to outstanding individuals in the region who have improved the environment for the creative community.

 

The tribute dinner and awards presentation honors recording artists and congressional leaders.

 

Celebrities and congressional leaders that have been honored in the past by the Grammy Foundation include Missy Elliott, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estafan, Vince Gill, Kelly Clarkson, Senators Lamar Alexander, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John McCain; Representative Mary Bono and Congressmen John Conyers.
