The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (BHFF) and The Lyricist Lounge have joined forces to co-present the annual BHHF festival’s main date on July 12 it was announced today (April 8).
The two Hip-Hop event producers will work together securing talent, promotion, marketing, branding, business development, sponsorship and vendor sales for this year’s festival which takes place throughout June and early July.
The BHHF film series takes place June 13th, 20th, 27th and July 10th, while the 4th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival performance dates are June 28th at the Prospect Park Bandshell, July 10th at The Masonic Lodge in Fort Greene, July 11th pre-party and a July 12th performance at Empire Fulton Ferry State Park.
“I have known Lyricist Lounge co-founders Danny Castro and Anthony Marshall for years and have always had great respect for their ability and accomplishments,” said BHFF founder and executive director Wes Jackson. “They built the Lyricist Lounge brand from the ground up. From parties to tours to MTV, they created the road map that so many follow today. This year’s Festival is going to be a great moment for Hip-Hop. Eight days of movies, concerts, and parties at an affordable price. In the community.”
While performers have yet to be announced, Jackson revealed that the official lineup for the festival “will make all of Brooklyn proud.”
National and local performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
