Megan Thee Stallion Twerks, Sips Henny Through A Straw Celebrating First Solo No. 1

Megan Thee Stallion is celebrating after scoring her first solo No. 1 hit after “Hiss” soared to the top of this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

On Monday evening (February 5), the three-time Grammy Award winner hopped on Instagram Live to enjoy the occasion with her fans.

Days after announcing her historic new deal with Warner Music, Megan Thee Stallion recalled the struggles she faced with “Hiss” and its predecessor, “Cobra,” while in the midst of her legal battle with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment.

“Y’all know I was going through it at a point in life, and I couldn’t put out music,’ she explained. “I didn’t have nobody backing me. I couldn’t do anything. There was no labels paying for my s###.”

Megan Thee Stallion said paying for her upcoming project was the first time she felt financially responsible since her mother passed away.

“When I say I went in Megan Pete bank account and paid for ‘Cobra’ and ‘Hiss,’” she continued. “Them two videos, my whole studio time for this album that’s about to come out, like all of that s### came out of my pocket. This was my first time since my mama been alive that I really carried the weight of paying for my whole s###.”

She added, “I really hope y’all know how much of the trenches we was in!”

Megan Thee Stallion Keeps Promise To Fans

Megan Thee Stallion then seemingly took a shot at Nicki Minaj while fulfilling her promise to drink Hennesey through a straw if “Hiss” topped the chart.

“Your flow is such a bore/Drinkin’ a bottle of Henny through a straw,” Minaj raps on her Meg diss “Big Foot.”

“We ‘bout to put the straw in the Hennessy!” Megan yelled while on live before twerking for the camera with the bottle in her hand.
