(AllHipHop News) Rapper Mystikal is heading right back to work since being freed from jail after serving 6 years in a Louisiana prison or sexual battery and extortion.
The Grammy Award winning rapper has been tapped to headline the “Mystikal and Friends” Mardi Gras concert at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts.
The rapper, who was released from prison on January 11, will perform hits like “Danger,” “Shake Yo Ass,” “Bouncin Back (Bumpin’ Me Against the Wall),” and “Move B**ch.”
“I’m back. It almost feels like a dream,” he said in an interview with New Orleans’ radio station Q93 FM after his release on January 11. “Six years off the scene for most rappers, it would be over with, but it’s a new beginning for me….we cant be foolish especially when you are blessed and successful. We gotta tighten up”
Sources told AllHipHop.com that during his incarceration, Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, wrote hundreds of songs, which he plans on recording for a new, untitled release.
“The Mystikal and Friends” concert is slated to take place February 16 at 7:30 PM. Tickets range from $36-$63.
