Former
Roc-a-Fella Records rapper Omillio Sparks is forging a new path with his new independent
record label, Colossal Entertainment.The
first project under the Philadelphia-based label will be the lyricist’s forthcoming
album, This Is The Life. The
release, which will include tracks chronicling Spark’s life in his native West
Philadelphia, will feature songs such as "I Luv U," a letter to Sparks’
children, "Ghetto Love Song," "Ain’t My Fault" and "Our
World," a street anthem with Freeway. Producers
include Kp, Jimmy Kendricks, Black Keys, Maestro, Doc Stone, Stichie Dan, Versatile
and Alchemist.Sparks
first caught the public’s eye after signing to Roc-A-Fella. During his time on
the label, he emerged as a member of the group O & Sparks and Beanie Sigel’s
State Property collective. In
addition to Sigel and Sparks, State Property boasted a membership that included
fellow rappers Young Chris, Oschino, Neef, Freeway and Peedi Crakk. Following
the group’s appearance in the State Property movie, State Property took a break
to pursue other projects. Members later reunited for their second release, State
