(AllHipHop News) Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya is making the rounds to publicize the upcoming fight between Canelo Alvarez and Cesar Chavez Jr. on May 5, in Las Vegas.
De La Hoya stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s#### show “The Whoolywood Shuffle” on Eminem’s Shade 45, and shared a variety of thoughts about the upcoming fight.
When the conversation turned to the station’s owner, Eminem, De La Hoya said Em is more than a rapper – he has some serious boxing skills, after training with the legendary, Emanuel Steward.
“The late great Emanuel Steward, who trained me for maybe about four or five fights, he once showed me a video where he was training Eminem. Man, he had some moves. He was punching the hand mitts and he was moving and he looked really good, actually, with a lot of power.”
De La Hoya thinks the rapper, who was once supposed to play the role of a boxer in the movie “Southpaw,” is good enough to give him a run for his money in the ring.
De La Hoya Oscar De La Hoya then challenged Eminem to a charity boxing match.
“I can come down in weight,” De La Hoya said jokingly.
