Instead of organizing a party or concert event, Patchwerk is focusing on health and wellness with a 5K walk/run. The first annual IdOMUSIC 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 1st at 8 am. The course will begin and end at Patchwerk’s Midtown Atlanta location. Light appetizers and healthy snacks will be served as part of a post-race celebration.
Profits from the run/walk will be donated to The MusiCares Foundation. The organization’s services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality. To register for the IdOMUSIC 5K Run/Walk visit active.com.
Patchwerk Recordings was founded by former Atlanta Falcons Offensive Tackle Bob Whitfield. The city’s most famous labels/crews such as Organized Noize, So So Def, LaFace, Hitco and Noontime have used the 3000 sq foot facility over the last two decades. More than 150 gold and platinum records have been crafted at Patchwerk.
