“Atlanta is not the South,” Pimp C. told Ozone Magazine. “Atlanta is not the South, gotdamn it, when you go to Atlanta what does your clock say? When you get off the plane from Los Angeles or Texas, what time do it be over there? Atlanta is East Coast time. You n***as ain’t in the South.”
The comments sparked an outcry of comments, including many from Atlanta fans, who were offended by the remarks made about the city.

“To all my Atlanta fans and friends, I want to apologize for my statements in Ozone Magazine about Atlanta not being the South. That was a bulls**t statement,” Pimp C said in a statement issued to AllHipHop.com. “Atlanta has always been the dirty motherf***in South!”
During the interview with Ozone, Pimp C went on to call out a number of notables within the Hip-Hop community, including Lil’ Troy, Lil’ Flip, Ne-Yo, Russell Simmons and unnamed rappers from Atlanta, who are phony “D-Boys” [slang for drug dealers].
“The rest of what I said about them p***y n***as is and always will be the truth. If you wanna go to war, we’ll take you to World War III at the drop of a dime. If you are riding with me, thank you. If you not, f**k you….”
