(AllHipHop News) Rap star Pitbull is tapping into his Cuban roots to promote a new fragrance line for men and women, called Pitbull Cuba.
The new line is inspired by the rapper’s country of birth, which recently celebrated and mourned, the death of the country’s leader, Fidel Castro.
This is the third fragrance Pitbull has released through a deal with Parlux, which has also created brands for Rihanna, Jay Z, Kenneth Cole and others.
According to Pitbull, his new Cuba Man and Cuba Woman fragrances evoke the essence of the country’s “nightclubs sultry beats and the quixotic combination of sugar and rum.”
“I wanted to pay a sensorial tribute to my family heritage. Cuba is warm, sexy and vibrant,” Pitbull said. “ It’s designed for confident individuals who flirt with the unknown.”
Pitbull also designed the look of both of the bottles, which the rapper crafted to be reminiscent of modern skyscrapers throughout the world.
“We are delighted to be working with Pitbull on the launch of this fragrance, which is so special and personal for him,” says Donald J. Loftus, President of Parlux Ltd. and Executive Vice President of Perfumania Inc. “Consumers are so intrigued by Cuba, its history, culture and people, and we are confident this fragrance will be a huge hit with fans and consumers throughout the world.” Pitbull’s Pitbull Cuba fragrance for men and women is due in retail stores in March of 2017.
