(AllHipHop News) Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee recruited A-list entertainers for the duo’s upcoming three-disc LP package. Rae Sremmurd’s label head, Mike WiLL Made-It, talked about SremmLife 3 during a discussion with Beats 1.
Mike revealed Future, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Pharrell, and The Weeknd make appearances on the project. The Ear Drummers team also got actress/singer Zoë Kravitz to contribute bars. SremmLife 3 is scheduled to arrive in April. It will include a Swae Lee side, a Slim Jxmmi side, and a joint Rae Sremmurd side.
Additionally, Zane Lowe chatted with Mike WiLL Made-It about his single “Aries (YuGo) Part 2.” The posse cut features Big Sean, Pharrell, Quavo, and Rae Sremmurd.
“I felt like that song was so good. I had to put it on my project Ransom 2 with just Pharrell on it. But when we did it, Pharrell always wanted artists on there. He always wanted rappers to have verses on there,” Mike told Lowe. “So I was like if I used it for Ransom 2, I for sure can come back and do another version with artists on the verses.”
He continued, “Originally I just wanted to put all Aries on there because the songs called ‘Aries’ and Pharrell’s an Aries. So I put Quavo on there, I put Big Sean on there. But Srem, they always loved that beat. So he was like, “Bro, you gotta let me get on there.” I can’t turn down a Swae Lee verse. Then Slim Jim heard that and was like, ‘I can hop on there?’ And I cant turn down no Slim Jim verse. They both killed it. They’re the only two on there that’s not Aries, so we just changed the meaning for Aries and just made it like always repping in everybody’s section. Just being that n-gga with the bag.”
