Harlem, New York rapper Jim Jones appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court this morning (February 4), where he pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault charges.
The rapper was officially charged on January 5, for his role in a Christmas Eve brawl with members of Ne-Yo’s entourage.
Jones was issued a summons by the New York Police 18th Precinct to discuss the brawl, which happened in the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
Today, through his attorney, Scott Leemon, Jones stood before a Judge, where he entered a plea of not guilty.
“I entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and [Jim] was released on his own recognizance,” Scott Leemon told AllHipHop.com, adding that the Assistant District Attorney sought a $1,000 bail for Jones, which the judge denied.
A motion schedule was set today, with Jones’ next court appearance coming on March 24.
