Nelly is in hot legal water, as the rapper was arrested on felony drug charges after his tour bus was stopped in Tennessee.
The Grammy award winner was pulled over in his tour bus for not displaying the proper stickers on the bus.
When pulled over, Tennessee cops said they smelled marijuana, which prompted them to search the vehicle. They allegedly found weed, meth, guns on the bus at that point and Nelly was taken to jail, along with another man.
The 40-year-old has been charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has since been released on bail.
Nelly’s lawyer told CNN that his client would be exonerated when the facts came out.
“There had been 15-20 people that had access to the bus prior to the stop,” Scott Rosenblum said, adding that he was “extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.”
