(AllHipHop News) Rapper Pitbull has expressed admiration for Republican front runner Donald Trump in a new interview with Vanity Fair.
The article, which is featured in the August 2016 edition, features a lengthy interview with Pitbull about his ultra successful career.
The rapper has sold over 70 million singles, moved more than 67 million downloads and has performed all over the world.
While he’s on the road promoting his new album Climate Change, something Donald Trump actually denies, Pitbull talked about the time he had a sit down with the Republican’s Presidential nominee, in West Palm Beach.
“I actually met with Trump,” Pitbull told Vanity Fair. “He flew [me] in his helicopter over to his resort in West Palm Beach. I like to sit down with people and see what they’ve got going on, and if there’s anybody that’s fallen down and got back up . . . with all the bankruptcies he’s been through—well, you have to respect certain things about him.”
At the time of the interview, Pitbull refused to endorse either party’s choice for President.
Pitbull was quick to distance himself from Donald Trump’s controversial ideology, including his infamous statement about Mexicans and his policy towards immigration.
“I don’t think he knew what he was talking about [when he said those things about Mexicans], and there’s nothing he won’t say to have the limelight,” Pitbull told Vanity Fair. “The more outlandish [it is], the more they put it on television.”
