Rick Ross is weighing in on the Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion beef, sharing his thoughts on what is “too far” in rap beef.
The warring duo sent shots at each other on diss tracks, sending shockwaves through the internet. Minaj references Meg’s deceased mom in her song. She also advised Megan to “conjure up her mother and apologize,” during an Instagram Live amid the drama.
Security was ramped up at Megan’s mother’s grave site after Nicki Minaj stans shared the address online.
In addition, the family of the late Megan Kanka called out the Houston rapper over her “Megan’s Law” lyric.
Despite all the controversy, Rick Ross says there’s no such thing as going too far in rap beef.
“I really don’t think you could go too far,’ he said during a recent appearance on the Impaulsive podcast. “This a sport. It’s Hip-Hop, it’s about having that fun. I call it fun. Megan got off her record, she got off her joint. You know Nicki being the queen she is in the rap game, she responded, got off a record, and that’s what you supposed to do.”
The hosts asked Rick Ross if Nicki Minaj went too far by mentioning Megan Thee Stallion’s mom.
“Is she disrespecting her dead mother? I haven’t heard it,” he said. “I’ve done things too. When I’m at odds and I’m making my music, I’ve done things and said things So, sometimes it’s f### ‘em.”
