(AllHipHop News) On August 29, Rick Ross will head back to his hometown of Miami to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of his Port Of Miami album.
The Maybach Music Group boss is taking part in a special concert event which will be live streamed on Tidal. The entertainment platform spoke with Rozay about his certified platinum debut.
“That was the birth of the biggest boss,” said Ross. “When I started working on that album, I was just thinking about Miami, repping the city, and maybe having an incredible year run.”
A decade later, the 40-year-old southerner has released five #1 albums, collected numerous gold/platinum singles, and helped launch the careers of MMG acts Meek Mill, Wale, and Stalley.
In a separate video interview with Tidal, Ross discussed his original intentions for Port Of Miami. He added, “I just wanted to feed the streets and let the streets know there’s a certified hustler coming to the table.”
