(AllHipHop News) Rita Ora has signed a new deal A little more than a week after settling a contract dispute with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.
Rita Ora signed a deal with Atlantic Records UK earlier today (June 20) and she is currently preparing to return to the studio later this year to record new material.
“Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released,” Rita Ora told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”
Rita Ora’s career had been on ice for the past year, as the British singer dealt with a $2.4 million dollar lawsuit filed against her by Roc Nation in a nasty contract dispute.
But both parties came to a settlement last week that avoided a trial over the matter, leaving Rita Ora to sign her new deal.
“Rita is a rare talent and a true global star. First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic UK President Ben Cook. “We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”
